You can blame Pac and Arum for declining blood tests up to two weeks before the fight. A simple vile of blood stopped both fighters in their prime from giving us a show. Makes you think, especially with his huge head, that he might have been juicing back then. He's not knocking guys out anymore either. Suspicious. :think

both camps have made their deal of excuses, the most blame goes to Floyd and Bob, and to a lesser degree to Manny, who never stood up to his boss, i don't side with either one in their never ending soap opera of excuses

my point is, that Floyd doesn't feel as confident as his fans that he'd beat Pac, otherwise this fight would have been made in 2009

Good stuff - intelligent post here..assuming that quote from Pac is legit. I love both guys to be honest. But to see that we are still feinding for 35 and 37 years olds past their primes fighting tells me A LOT about the future of boxing. I like Danny G, Porter and Broner, but come on, it's like all we have look forward to is B to B+ fighters. Gonna miss Pac and Floyd once they retire.

Broken records front both sides of the May-Pac debate

Hell, I'm a broken record too, saying how people need to stop defending them, they both deserve CRITICISM for not fighting each other, something that would have been great for boxing.

They both deserve blame, and whether one deserves more than the other, it really doesn't matter. We've already missed out on what would have been the best matchup (top 2 fighters, 2 biggest stars) in many years.

Voted no: Mayweather would win but not destroy Pac. A 2009 Pacman would I think be favoured against Mayweather.

Errrr not a ******* btw but you sure are a *****. How many times have we all heard you said.... Floyd is everything better than JMM and therefore he beats Manny by default? Come on now, don't make me go and quote you *****s. This was well before the kotfo 6.

    Very true.

Also, Hopkins being so successful at almost 50, JMM at 40.

The overall talent pool in boxing is down, and that's not nostalgia. All you need is a pair of functioning eyes to see that.

I still of course respect the fighters, and enjoy good fights. But it is what it is. I started following boxing hard-core in the early 90s. Look at the p4p rankings, the talent in middleweight and heavyweight, and look at it today.

He would have beaten Margarito too but people say that he ducked him. Fact is he fought arguably the #1 JMW. That's not a duck.

Not necessarily - Arum knew Floyd is the biggest threat to his cash cow. Why would Arum put Pac against Floyd after PPV hot streaks against De La Hoya and Hatton. Pac was just starting to make it rain for Arum and forecasts showed Miguel Cotto with heavy rain. Arum's behavior towards his own Top Rank fighter, Bradley, after upsetting Pac just shows how protected Pac is. Who the hell comes in public and demands that the Nevada Attorney General conduct an investigation in a fight between two of his own fighters? I'd be pissed but congratulatory of Bradley.

Floyd had every right to demand a bigger cut. Most sport fans didn't even know who Pacquiao was until he beat De La Hoya (after Floyd beat De La Hoya). Floyd is essentially thinking, who the hell does this guy think he is asking for 50-50 split because he beat 2 fighters I already beat.

I don't understand why blood testing is a big deal. I think ANY fighter has the right to demand random blood testing as long as the fighter himself undergoes the same tests. It just clears any suspicions that someone is using PEDs for a fight of that magnitude. Hell, if I was betting on the fight, I'd be more comfortable knowing its a fair fight than one that was rigged with PEDs.

    Lol yeah right.

Ortiz, Guerrero, Canelo, Maidana....Floyd is content to pad his retirement account by fighting 2nd rate Latino sluggers these days.

Honestly i saw nothing from pac that should "scare" Floyd. Manny is a terrific fighter and whether *****s want to admit it or not i believe the time has come and enough is enough the fight should happen. And im directing that to all parties involved.
