Mayweather should face GGG, Ward or Martinez, there is nothing else left for Floyd.

No need for PBF to face GGG, and this is coming from one of the biggest GGG fans on here. It speaks to how Floyd's viewed that you need one of the most destructive middleweights of the last decade to produce a "risky" fight.

There's only one scenario under which PBF-GGG should be demanded, and that's if Floyd fights and beats the winner of Cotto-Martinez (which is certainly a fight he's keeping a close eye on).

People are so desperate to see Mayweather lose that they want him to fight a guy who is fighting at 168 in his next fight. Laughable

He said that FLoyd should fight GGG at a CW for the MW title.

He said this because he feels there's no one at 140-154 lbs that could challenge Mayweather.

I agree. That's definitely a fighter on FLoyd's resume that I don't see Pacman ever facing, or having much success against.

I can't imagine how Pac would deal with Canelo's overall power or counterpunching ability. He's a very strong kid in the ring and if they fought at a 152 CW, more than likely Alvarez would outweigh Pacman by around 15-17 lbs on fightnight.

That's a bad matchup for Pacman.

If Cotto wins the fight with Sergio, I'm pretty sure Floyd will jump at his MW WBC title.

this is the ideal scenario for Floyd i.e fighting Cotto for the MW WBC title. Cotto is a big draw and a free agent, so it make all the sense.

Martinez/GGG vs Floyd won't ever happen due of the HBO-SHO issue, even if both Martinez and GGG will agree to fight Floyd @ c/w i.e 157-158 lbs.

I hope Canelo - Lara fight happens and Lara wins this fight, so in this way Floyd would be somehow forced to face Lara.

^^I don't think FLoyd would be too worried about Lara.

Lara's biggest issue is he doesn't have an established fanbase, the same issue that's hurting his fellow Cuban pros-Rigo and Gamboa.

If Lara had the fanbase of someone like ALvarez, I'm sure a fight with FLoyd would've probably already happened.

Lara is a great fighter whose very technically sound. But his punch output is pretty low, I can't see how he'd beat FLoyd since Mayweather, at least in my estimation, is the superior fighter in pretty much every facet of the boxing game compared to Lara. He's more accurate, a better counterpuncher and his defense is clearly superior to Lara as well.

Floyd wouldn't have gotten touched up by Angulo the way that Lara did. Lara is a great fighter and could beat just about anyone at 154 lbs, just not mayweather.

Well if people want to act like Floyd is in the class of guys like Langford, Armstrong, Duran, or even Roy Jones he should. Duran was a natural lightweight that beat up middleweights like Barkley. Theres no big deal if he fights Golovkin/Martinez at 154.

and no, neither Manny or Floyd will be in the top 45 or remotely considered all time greats aside from fans who are blinded by marketability and name value

This is a different time. And Duran regularly blew up 50+ pounds in between fights. He was a lot bigger than people realize.
