Depends on the outcome of the lara fight really. As of now Canelo does not have any spectacular wins on his resume but has plenty of time to add to it. Regardless a good win against a top 154 pounder and one that in hindsight may look a lot better

you got to be an idiot if you think juan wasnt at a disadvantage. he was 135 pounder moving up 2 weight classes to make 144 which is welterweight. why should juan move up to make the weight which was on the contract and floyd does not? floyd could make 140 if he wanted too. he just prefers 147 because he doesnt have to struggle to make 147

First of all, this conversation wasn't about Marquez going up, it was about going down in weight and being drained.. The weight was 144 and Floyd fights at 147.. Floyd would have been more 'drained' than Canelo if he would have made weight.. And Marquez challenged Floyd.. Floyd came back after 18 months to fight a top P4P fighter...

As someone who was against the catchweight in boths bouts the biggest differences to me was Cotto though more experienced was coming off a beatdown loss and another disputed decision/close loss to Margarito and Clottey, as well as have no real trainer and having recently lost his father.
Alvarez was unbeaten full of confidence and nearing his prime coming off the biggest win of his career completely different situations to me. As far as the 'walking down Cotto' thing if someone thought Pacquiao was on PED's considering bigger punchers couldn't kd a guy like Mosley that would be a vaild example. The only comparison to Cotto/Alvarez is the catchweight where they were mentally and physically couldn't be anymore opposite

Floyd totally totally neutralized canelo's offense and completely took away his armory and ammunition... Green or not ( which mind u saul had over 40 fights before taking on Floyd not Floyd's fault they were all against no names and cab drivers)this is the kid being hyped up to be Floyd's boogeyman... The other pacquiao so to speak... The fighter who he wouldn't fight bc of risk vs reward...no rehydration limit so he could've came 250 into the ring that night and not be penalized...Floyd schools him and all of a sudden it's not a significant win bc he was so called weight drained? Even though he is the one that initiated the catch weight clause c'mon y'all just picking on Floyd now cuz u don't like him personally and neither do I but he's one hell of a mother****ing master boxer in that ring

That's why I said would have.. According to you guys, Floyd would have had to 'drain himself' almost to death to fight a challenger...

OK so going by this logic, Floyds recent resume is absolute sh*t.

you are so blinded by floyds bs. :bart floyd walks around close to the 147 weight limit. going down to 144 is not hard for him. if you are going to agree to the contract weight, you honor the contract. floyd even said he could make 140 if he wanted too
