I'm expecting this to go the distance in a close tough fight with the judges giving it to Alvarez. What about you?

Very possible. It's going to be at a catchweight by the way, 155 or 156.

This has no business being on PPV but as long as the Mexicans buy this crap,Canelo will continue this nonsense.Showtime is showing that it's budget is empty and CBS is tightening Sho's spending spree. It just is not working as they thought.Mayweather screwed the corporate suits.

    Riiiiiiight...

Arum is paying you to troll these boards?

GBP is putting on the fight of the year so far. As a boxing try to enjoy this one a little bit.

Your Mayweather obsession is not healthy.

Alvarez vs Lara is definitely PPV worthy, not to forget the solid undercard SHOWTIME will also provide. This is a progressive, competitive and meaningful fight for both. Sure, Angulo vs Alvarez wasn't PPV worthy but this is nothing compared to that.

Just read its a 1lb issue but I doubt it will be an issue ..Either way it's just another clause for Canelo who yet again most likely won't make weight.

Disagree, but that's ok.This is a Showtime broadcast not a PPV,in my opinion. What is this solid undercard you speak of,I certainly have not heard of any bouts being announced yet?:huh

Because Canelo's in middleweight denial. He'll move up soon enough for sure, but this way he can schedule fights against 154 lb fighters without people criticizing him like they might if he admitted he was a middleweight now.

It's better business for the time being; although he's essentially a middleweight now, he'll move up "officially" for the Martinez-Cotto winner.
