I think it is very under-rated. The only 2 times I can think when he was outboxed was Morales 1 and JMM 3 (closeish but clear for JMM imo). JMM 1 and 2 were pretty even, Pac was getting outboxed for some rounds but overall those fights were relatively even (knockdowns included in JMM1). Another thing I have noticed is that Pacquaio can adjust better than what most people give him credit for. He adjusted in the Bradley fight and after his loss to Morales, he developed a right had and beat him twice after that. After KO6 in JMM4, he has become more cautious and used his skills more as opposed to going in and trying to blitz opponents, like he just realistically at 35 can't do anymore. Obviously he isn't slick in the usual sense or orthadox in what he does. JMM is the exception to this rule as such as he is Pac's kryptonite but he has improved his defense somewhat in terms of he isn't as easy to hit as many say he is. I think the Bradley(s) win are already being under-rated somewhat: I was pretty impressed with how Pacquaio harnessed what he has left and used it to win vs Bradley. Hope we can enjoy talents like Pacquaio and Mayweather (and JMM) while they are still around, because in 2-3 years time they will be missed.
It is under rated on here, but because the vast majority of posters are pathetic little fanboys who idolize Floyd. They will never give Pac his dues "...it's the hypocrisy of Floyd's fans that's funny..." - Doug Fischer (RING TV) ^^ Couldnt be more true / funny. They say Pac is washed up, has no footwork, is shopworn past it blah blah.... well that version of Pac just beat Bradley, the guy the *****s were calling p4p 3 *****s, does Pac still not 'deserve' the fight???? Hahahahaha Pacs win over Bradley is a million times better than Maidana win over Broner. Its better than any Floyd win in recent years These *****s, little rats
Of course he has great boxing skills. But this is ESB, land of floyd-nuthuggery so of course it will get underrated. I have tried over and again to discuss Pac's boxing skills: how fluent he is in his in-and-out movement, how fluid he is in changing from a defensive position to an offensive stance, the way he parries using his right hand, superior feinting, that ever so beautiful lead left counter, the right hook counter, footwork that always somehow creates an angle for him to attack or to escape (yes even against JMM and Bradley). But these boxing geniuses here who probably never boxed their entire lives think these are so easy to do or to emulate. atsch So no, if you want a decent discussion about Pac's boxing skills, ESB is not the place for you. Hell he even improved a bit in cutting the ring last night against Bradley (he would move laterally instead of chasing after Bradley), but the usual response to that is "blah blah blah, he can't even hit Mosley but Floyd would've sparked that old man even while he is fleeing for the hills, blah blah blah".
I think from now on, Pacquiao will a boxer/puncher, he won't be as reckless as the KO LOSS to Marquez has made him a smarter fighter.
I'm really on the fence in the Mayweather-Pacquiao debate as I'm long past the point of caring, however it's not just the *****'s who are hypocrites, Mayweather himself is one. -Whines about Pacquiao fighting his left overs- fights Cotto. -Whines about Pacquiao fighting a catchweights- fights Canelo at one himself. -Whines about Pacquiao fighting a limited plodder like Rios, fights one himself in Maidana.
Floyd should fight him then...forget about money and Arum...beating or crushing Pacquiao would be the greatest accomplishment of his career. Instead he has slowly built a mental wall and convinced himself that there is no point in fighting Pacquiao. Floyd would literally need to have an epiphany to make the fight happen since Arum isn't leaving the picture.
Ask Pacquiao to stop dodging Floyd then... Floyd offered him the fight in 2012, Pac refused it. 40 m was a fine and dandy offer.
You started it, making dumb claims like FLOYD was dodging the fight. Go ask Arum why he keeps avoiding him... Fact is Floyd was the only one who made an offer out of both parties. Manny HUNG Up on him.
I'm sure Pac does as well, if he spoke up.... or accepted a realistic offer. HE wants 50/50 or close to there when they don't do the same numbers. Makes no sense.
how i wish that you didn't quit school you don't know how much money that fight would generate...and if you have a brain you would know that Floyd is giving him an estimate of less than 20% of the total revenue. :smoke
...is severely underrated here in ESB. one poster even mentioned yesterday that he is just a come forward fighter with no defense. when I told him that bradley connected just 22% (compubox) of his shots where some were probably counted even if it landed on Pac's gloves, he ignored it and just wrote down a "floyd> bradley" reply.
