Floyd is the GOAT reason why so many boxers no longer strive to fight the best while ignorant fans continue to accept the fighters he faces.

    Floyds last 23 fights:
Georgio Vargas, Emmanuel Augustus, Corrales, Hernandez, Jesus Chavez, JL Castillo twice, Sosa, Ndou, Corley, Bruseles, Gatti, Mitchell, Judah, Baldomir, DLH, Hatton, JMM, Mosely, Ortiz, Cotto, Guerrero, Alvarez

    Pac last 23 fights:
Barrera, JMM, Fahsan 3K Battery, Morales, Velazquez, Morales, Larios, Morales, Solis, Barrera, JMM, David Diaz, DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Mosely, JMM, Bradley, JMM, Rios and last night Bradley again

True boxing fans and by that I mean people who appreciate all boxing as fans should support the best fights than can be possibly made, rather than be a sheep to fighters who pick and chose safe fights become a wolf and demand that these guys fight the best for your ppv money.

Good points. The whole thing is a bit of a paradox. Whether Canelo makes 154 in the future shouldn't matter when he was able to make 152 for that fight, but the perception will be there- just like the weighing in future wins to the value of the present win I was arguing against. If he goes on to beat GGG at 160 for example, it'll make Floyd's win look better even if the bigger, more experienced Alvarez isn't what Floyd beat. The perception becomes reality.

There's probably no way around it, until a time machine exists that allows specific versions of fighters captured at an exact date to fight their rivals.

His stature as ATG is reliant more on his skill and perceived head to head ability in fantasy fights. Mayweather could have easily improved on his resume if he didn't just choose the money route. He could have fought (and beat) an undefeated Cotto back in 2008. Pac back in 2010. Martinez back in 2011. Bradley before he was beaten by Pac.

Incorrect. At 135 Manny had 1 punch K.O. power with his strait left and showed that clearly time and again. However above 140 his power just doesn't carry up as well. As should be expected really.

    Dont hide behind that.

You could just as easily say Shawn Porter beating Nonito Donaire is just speculation...I mean Nonito has the better resume.

You know FULL WELL that Canelo was the tougher opponent.

Thats why if Pacquiao fought Canelo, it would be considered a bigger win, and Pac certainly wouldnt be a 1/3 favorite.

    Speculation?

Ah yes, you're the one person who'd be backing Bradley to beat Canelo....the bookies favorite kind of sap.

What's sad is I'd have had Floyd as the favorite for 3 of those fights and an underdog (but a live one, make no mistake) only against Sergio.

Then again, the other thing to take in to account is that if he ran himself through the gauntlet then, he may not have aged as well in the ring. His pocketbook and his longevity both saw benefits from that strategy.

No I never backed him to beat Canelo ,matter of fact why is it even being brought up ? Since when has Bradley fought as a pro above 147 .:huh

It's really sad when you have to make up fights to prove a fighters worth ! Get over it Bradley was the much better opponent and more proven as a pro !

    We're not talking about p4p.

    Floyd ACTUALLY fought Canelo.

    He ACTUALLY beat him.

Hopw can you say Canelo would beat Bradley and then say Bradley is the better win??

You;re essentially saying "Pacquiao beating a guy who would lose to Canelo is better than Floyd beating Canelo"....is that right? Is that what you're saying?

You do realize that over half of those fights Bob Arum was his promoter right? He want choosing his opponents then.. You do also over the last 23 fights, Pac faced 15 guys and Floyd 22? Cherry picking a different bum every time out is hard to do..

I say Floyd should run for president.. He tricked the whole world into thinking he is good at a job he clearly suck at.. He is recognized even by the people who hates him as the best in the world.. He fight school teachers while everyone else fights professional boxers and he's still P4P #1...

Yeah Yeah...roids will make u punch hard :patsch

Look at Bradley...Roids are made so you look like Bradley...Bradley a boxing wizard who knows how to maximize his power with precise accuracy...yet he failed to KO anybody...

    YDKSAKO power :nono

You recruit power punchers...teach them how to throw 1-2s and the KOs come...Roids might ruin some punchers if anything (indirectly...energy loss...injuries...etc)
