    He did beat Delahoya!
I never liked Oscar & he was a little overated, but I thought Ricky Hatton was way more overated. Especially after he beat a way over the hill Kostya.:!: Hasim Named was probably the most overated though!

DLH did too little in the fight, especially the mid rounds, to have won 6 rounds.

It shows you Ike's quality to be off for a year and a half and fight the way he did against a fighter the caliber of a 26 year old DLH.

Picking the most overrated fighter is tough because fighters so often get overrated, they lose, then they become overrated. Or you have extremes on both sides. In large part, people use to overrate the hell out of Amir Khan, especially his skill level. I laughed when people talked about him being this really skilled guy who was the future of boxing.

But then you've got ppl saying "oh he's a glass jawed joke" which is extreme too.

Corrie Sanders is up there. He was like a HW Zab Judah, with a better chin (although Nate Tubbs took him out with one shot) and heart, less skills and punch variety, lax training habits, and faced much weaker opposition.

He had good power and hand speed, and was left handed which added to his unpredictability. There wasn't a whole lot other than that. His skills and ring smarts weren't all that great. His footwork, variety of punches, ring generalship, defense....anything about those that were really any good. He got hit with the same shots from Rahman over and over again. The beating he took against Vitali causes many to overrate his chin.

He was a fringe contender who caught lightning in a bottle.

Agree. And I know he can still have a great career. But he is not even close to what some people wanted to make us believe

    Ok. I will say this:

Floyd case is complicated. And sometimes I think a lot of people underestimates his skills and his punching power.

Yes, the man has been super protected and way over paid. But he has the skills and has shown the dedication to the gym.

The true is if Floyd Mayweather Jr wasn't so protected he would have been retired a long time ago. Probably with a couple of losses on his records. But also with some amazing wins. And people would love him instead of hating him.

Yeah I want to see the MOFO KTFO. Not because I don't like him as a boxer. I just hate his big mouth and he 14 y/O behavior.

Gimme a break! How was Ike overated? He went to war with Vargas in a fight that could have gone either way! I thought he beat both Delahoya & Vernon Forest. He was a very good fighter & was never overly hyped!
