What One Klitscho fight = Bowe-Holyfield I ???

Bowe-Holyfield 1 is underrated? I don't know anyone who says it wasn't great

You don't need to exclude Lewis-Klitschko, that certainly didn't match Bowe-Holyfield in technique

No Klitschko fights are comparable to Bowe-Holyfield 1. For one, neither Klitschko has faced anyone (other than Lewis) remotely on the level of a 92 Holyfield or Bowe. That takes out the "skill" and "technique" criteria. Second, they are usually dominating their opponents so it's hard to have a classic fight when it is one sided

 

None because nobody could match the Klitschkos skill. Only Lewis could do so, and Vitali-Lewis was 10x the fight Holyfield-Bowe had.

 

You said yourself that Bowe/Holyfield was a classic. Classics don't happen very often. So what's the point of asking about either Klit being involved in such a fight and then excluding the one fight that clearly fits the criteria?

 

There is no Klitchko fight that's comparable to this classic !

Liakhovich-Brewster was a better fight than Lennox-Vitali.

Lennox-Vitali had more significance and higher quality fighters, but the action was even more back-and-forth in Liakovich-Brewster, and more aesthetically pleasing than the sloppy Lewis-Vitali in which they looked like two drunks.

 

The 90's was like the wild west of boxing in terms of PED usage. The testing protocols were either a joke or non existant. All that gear in your system makes you brave or go off the deep end like Tyson, Ike and Golota. Yet at the time people still bitched and called the era garbage.

The Klitschko's would have been even more dominant if they were allowed to juice like that. Germany was one of the only commissions that tested back then. They busted Botha for Anadrol 50 after his fight with Schulz.

 

You can look at any picture of Lennox lewis when he fought Vitali, and see the amount muscle definition he had in his arms, and abdomen. He wasn't fat, or out of shape by any means. Both of the fighters took the fight on short notice and it was a close one.

I don't understand where all of these baseless accusations of Vitali getting beat by a "fat" Lennox Lewis come from, where they were both training for a fight that got called off, and decided to meet each other instead.

Lennox's advanced age was compensated by Vitali's apparent late arrival to the sport (Lennox was a boxer since a little kid, Vitali started kickboxing as TEENAGER).

Are people so distraugh that the Klitschko's have disrupted the "natural order" of things, or the status quo of boxing by becoming the first white fighters in a very long period of time to dominate the heavyweight division?

 

At least one guy on that list was.

 

Thats what happens when fighters of equal skill get together in the ring. Klitschko haven't fought anyone of equal skill (to them) and those who were close in skill, were undersized (Povetkin) or didn't have the chin to make the fight exciting (Haye).

I would say Vitali vs Sanders was pretty exciting, if only Sanders came in lighter and less "zero ****s given" attitude -ish
