Yes, the fight will happen, but between a year or two, there's still too much left of Paquiao 2009 in him.

Only 5 years have passed since MAyweather RETIRED from boxing to avoid the Pacman, he's not enough shot to **** yet.

Even Guerrero would beat the version of gasnelo that entered that ring.

Disrespectful to who? He trash talked Pacquiao. Thats the guy he was supposed to fight. Opponents trash talk each other all the time. Since when to promoters denigrate opposing fighters, promoters, managers, and network heads? Why would you call for the boycott of Mayweather's upcoming fight if you really want to work with him? That's a new one that I've yet to see.

Because he went up @ 154 and grabbed the opportunity against a weak champion yuri foreman who was also injured.

cotto didn't want to get beat up @ 147 again against Pacquiao.

The thing is Pac has been embarrassed already so losing to Floyd is not that big a deal to him.

But if you look at floyd's side. Talking smack all those years, losing to Pac could lead to suicide.

When your fighter doesn't trash talk and it isn't in his nature to trash talk you, as the promoter, will take lead and do the trash talking yourself. Didn't Don King do his share of trash talking for his fighters?, didn't Arum trash talk for Hearns back when Leonard was stalling?, didn't DiBella trash talk Hopkins leading up to the first Taylor fight?...etc. The examples are endless out there and there are cases where trainers and others in a fighter's team do the trash talking as well. Remember when the guy with the sailor hat was trash talking Vargas in the Vargas-Mosley I press conference because Mosley has a quiet/calm personality?.

Mayweather was disrespectful from the very start. As soon as Pacquiao became the media's primary question whenever he was interviewed he went furious with hatred and obvious jealousy. That actually lead to calling him a cheater publicly, throwing out racist remarks(which he apologized for public) and many more. There's a difference when you trash talk your opponent when the fight is signed and when you do so with zero plans to fight him, that's blatant disrespect, jealousy and hatred.

There are many fans of both, just that kids going back and forth about Pac vs Floyd are the loudest, so we forget about normal fans.

Ok then, when was the last time Mayweather fought a slick, black, prime, undefeated, top p4p fighter?

It's always those come forward GBP fighters that he's feasting at.

They're two of my all-time favorites, and I think their inability to come to an agreement to fight is sad and embarrasses the sport. Arum doesn't help either.

A lot of their fanatical fans are absolutely pathetic. Instead of criticizing Manny/Floyd, they go on and on to prove that the other guy is at fault, or "more" at fault. Who gives a ****? They both cheated the fans.

When one is criticized for facing an overmatched opponent, let's say Mayweather against Ortiz of Guerrero, one of Floyd's *** fanboys will inevitably bring up Pacquiao and say "he faced old Mosley, he takes PEDs, blah blah blah". Mother****er, who was even talking about Pacquiao? Criticize Pacquiao and one of his cult members will come crying about how Floyd is a cherry picker, woman beater, ducker, etc....Unlike these idiots who feel they must choice sides and act like it's a cult, there are actually people out there who are able to praise and criticize both Floyd and Manny when they deserve it. They don't deserve defending for cheating the fans out of the biggest fight in the sport, which would have been terrific for boxing. They should be criticized, not defended.

People actually seem to take pride and get happy when one of the two faces a better opponent than the other is facing. This is how bad it has gotten. Since they have little interest in fighting each other, it's somehow a victory for their fanboys if one of them faces a better opponent than the other and wins by a wider margin. Let's just forget about the fact that they WILL NOT FIGHT EACH OTHER.

Perhaps the most pathetic is when their fans argue over has more money. Can anything be more gay and lame than bragging about another man's money? They deserve each other. I like the idea of one thread for their lame bickering, instead of ruining good threads with their stupid little debate.

I don't think he can't and honestly believe these media reports are highly exaggerated. He's most definitely fighting because he wants to and because money is involved. You can't really motivate yourself in this sport for money and only money.
