baseball is a much bigger sport worldwide than american football. MLB sells 73 million tickets each season.. They are by far the biggest league in any sport with that. You know what the nr 2 is on that list? The Japenese baseball league...

Baseball has no salary cap unlike the NFL that's why they pay so much. NFL dwarfs MLB no contest.:deal

    Doesn't really say much.

Boxing's pay scale is outrageously uneven anyway.

Odd though. Tom Brady restructured his deal so he is now, and was for last season, not among the top 10 highest earning QB's in the league. I don't see how he can make the list; it literally must be wrong in that respect. Brady now makes a salary of under 14 million per season. The hopes were that the Patriots would spend to the cap on a supporting cast that they have been void of for years now, but instead the Patriots were 29th in total spending in the whole NFL last season.

When Brady redid his deal, $27M from his old deal was converted into a signing bonus. He got an additional $3M in signing bonus money and had a base salary of $1M. That's $31M.

Pacquiao is not on the list because he only fought once in 2013.

    Ah yes, that's right.

So 31M this year but his total salary earnings next year drop to 13-14M, correct? The signing bonus gets lumped into just the one year, I believe.

Tom Brady; best team player alive.
