  2. No matter how you slice it, this is a sad thing for boxing.

Even if you hate Manny, he's good for boxing. Shame his marketability dropped since KTFO6.

He lost two fights(robbery or not) and in addition to just loosing he got knocked the **** out. Add to that a long layoff and a fight in China and you get these numbers. The gate was probably still a success.

No one hates Manny, and if you do you're an idiot. People hate his fans.

With that being said, it's sad to see his stock drop so low. Maybe the public just needs to see him in his winning ways again. I hope. He's good for the sport.

at mvc no one cares about the gate u ******.I want to see the best fight each other unlike gayweather vs maidana which will be like watching paint dry boring with gayweather running for her life. you guys boycott gayweather vs maidana its the only way to force gayweather in the ring with the great Pacquiao.all this proves is while Bradley is a great fighter he can't sell for **** it.Pacquiao still can sell but it takes two to tango

This just goes to show how severely underrated Bradley is, and just how much of Pac's star caliber really depended on his explosiveness in the ring.
I don't think he looked bad against Rios, if anything, he looked more refined than ever with his boxing skills, keeping it disciplined as he did against ODLH.
Problem is, this "boxing" version of Pacquiao is not what catapulted him into stardom.
And Bradley, on the other hand, is coming off of the biggest recognized win of his boxing career, that is against a certified legend in JMM.
Still that didn't seem enough to entice the mass from paying for this bout.

It sucks because compared to FMJ - Maidana, this has a lot more at stake, two P4P fighters and top WW's going at it.

Its worth noting that the mass you're talking about that actually tuned in to watch Marquez-Pacquiao on PPV, actually voted by text right after HBO's broadcast that they viewed Marquez as the winner.
Most of the viewers were'nt impressed with Bradley, so that has to factor in why the gate reciepts are not up to par and that likely the PPV will dissapoint for this Pacquiao rematch.

Understandable his value has gone down. He did get KTFO6, but I thought that Bradley beating Marquez and fight with Provo would generate more interest. I was wrong.

The fight turned out to be pretty good though, don't know about the undercard, didn't really pay attention to it.

First estimates usually after 5-7 days and hard numbers after 2-3 weeks... approx.

    Not true!
When a PPV does well, close estimates are announced within days of the fight. Mayweather vs Canelo numbers were announced before the week was up.
