should fighters who are caught using steroids be banned for life

    Yes simple as that, steroids and PED's of all descriptions should not be tolerated. Train hard or go home if you can't get where you want to be through hard work and dedication your in the wrong sport.

    theres no disputing there are hundreds of fighters,thousands even in the past who have done it and got away with it,but surely there has to be a stop to it.people slated floyd for asking for proper testing and to be honest it might have been an angle to get out of the pac fight but he's dead right.but it shouldnt be in the run upto a fight have tests,there should be a system where random drugs tests are taken against any fighter at any time so there is no way of getting off it a certain amount of time before you know your getting tested just random and anyone caught get named shamed and ****ed off out of the sport for good

    No what they should do is just allow them to be used, eventually that will happen anyway.

    People think anyone taking Peds is suddenly a wrecking machine that will kill their opponent in the ring and it's dangerous, simply not the case.

    no people think they are performance enhancing which is true.if they dont make any difference why take them,and why are people actually condoning it on here.
    and as for killing their opponents,it could be all the difference between hurting or killing an opponent,its a dangerous enough sport without unfair advantages

    Yeah. They should be banned for a year and the next time they are caught, for life. Boxing is too brutal to try to gain an edge by cheating.

    They shouldn't be allowed to use TBT, though.

    I'm somewhat on the fence about what to do with PEDs in sports. However, I'm convinced that the current system can be greatly improved upon. I think it would be better if PEDs were legal, or if there was required VADA-level testing. To ban PEDs and test for them lackadaisically is deplorable. The way it is now increases the likelihood of matches between a juiced and natural fighter. I just want the competitors to be on an even playing field.

    Did you all know Chavez Jr. isn't tested for diuretics when fighting in Texas? Things like this should not be tolerated. Diuretics are known to be used not only for cutting weight but also to mask PEDs. It's ridiculous that Texas, or any other state, wouldn't test for them.

    Another possible solution would be a U.S. Federal Commission that will hold the state commissions to certain standards.

    legalising them is a stupid idea,vastly improved testing by an independant body should be a must.when they say the testing is a costlty procedure,come on,how much money is involved in boxing

    Most of the top guys in pretty much every sport are on some 0-day **** anyway.

    If you were to ban them all, you'd just end up settling for lesser performances from lesser fighters -- I know some moralfag will get all uppity about that.

    They are performance enhancing, yes, does that mean they turn anyone on them into a wrecking machine, no.

    The majority of athletes are on them anyway so what's the point of regulating it if you can't do it properly and some competitors are left at a disadvantage.
