Danny headlined the first boxing promotion out there gaining a rare win, I can see him beating Botha in this as well because the White Buffalo is shotter than shot, then so is Danny but he may well get the decision if he can stay upright for the full ten rounds. The 'prestigious' WPBF title which I've never heard of is on the line, possibly something they've invented just for this fight. Williams needs the cash for his kids private schooling and I would imagine that headlining these Dubai events brings in some decent coin and that can't be a bad thing so long as the level of opponent isn't too high...
[/thread] Yeah. Botha hit a rough patch over the last year following his good showing in NZ (where he got screwed over, hard) and this is just what the doctor ordered for him. Botha's shot, but Williams is so much further gone it really has ceased to be the least bit funny. Hell, look at their respective last outings, both TKO losses to Wawrzyk. Botha made it five rounds, nicking one, lost on towel; Williams destroyed in two minutes. :verysad
He has to call it a day soon surely. He's achieved a lot he and his family can be proud of and I know he might be continuing for others reasons, but how long can he continue doing this before its one punch too many.
I would say it was 'one punch too many' years ago... But the defence for the sport is that if someone is able to pass the tests required to be licenced, who are we to stop them fighting?
