This tourney does kinda sound like a "masters" tourney but I'm really hoping for a Meehan Rahman matchup - Meehan got totally owned last time. But I thought ot was going to go the other way. after the Brewster fiasco it was his biggest shot (oh except when he was offered the title fight against Valuev and he refused to sign and waited to speak to Don King and lost the opportunity) I was always expecting so much more from him. This time I hope he gets revenge on Rahman and wins the dough.

meehan got the opportunity against chageav, but was so ring rusty and hesitant that it wasnt even a close fight.

I'd like to see Meehan do well too. But he didn't fare too well against Walker 2 years ago, and hasn't fought since.

Why would Browne waste his time? For the money that will not be there? Or the opportunity to spoil the party for a bunch of senior citizens?

Haumono should be there as he appears to have no direction nor activity in his career.

Browne was initially keen to be a part of this. But his management appear to have talked him out of it.

No probs - I am sure I can handle a bit of banter.

What should be asked of Haumono is "Where the bloody hell are you?"

That's the burning question - with this field Haumono should walk right through them. Haumono has apparently been ready to go since the beginning of the year yet has not had one fight and has nothing lined up, not one mention of Haumono in either tournament - the guy appears to be more disinterested in his career than the Australian public. :deal

Thank goodness - do not know what beating up a bunch of senior citizens in a prize fighter format was going to do for him.

Besides complaining about not fighting for the com title(well not him one of his supporters, his trainer and a matchmaker)on the net he appears to be doing nothing. You're right he doesn't seem to be interested in fighting this tourney would be good for him to make some money.

The obvious answer is make him $200,000 richer. But he's on track for bigger things at the moment so I can see where his management are coming from.
