Serious Question: WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME FLOYD FOUGHT SOMEONE SLOWER THAN MAIDANA?

    Really was wondering today. I don't think ANY opponent he has fought has been as slow as Maidana. You'd have to look WAY far back to find someone as slow as this guy... I think speed is a necessary ingredient to beating Floyd. (Not saying anyone now has a good chance of it.) But Maidana is slow to the point where the fight won't be interesting!

    The last time I think Floyd fought someone as slow as Maidana was in 2006 against Baldomir. But I still think Baldomir was probably faster. At least he is comparable... Even Gatti will look quick against Maidana. People are idiots thinking Maidana even has a punchers chance against Mayweather. In order to catch mayweather with a decent punch you gotta have some speed yourself. (Mosley comes to mind in 2nd round). Maidana won't land anything, ****** Broner only got hit because he is horrible, slow reflexes, stands in 1 place, and Floyd Mayweather prob has a better chin than him. (BRONER IS GLASS!)

    This fight is gonna be a snoozefest.

    I like watching Floyd fight. But against Maidana? after seeing Maidana vs Broner, its a horrible fight unless Floyd takes the opportunity to stop him at some point. And a body shot ought to do the job just fine. make it quick and painless on Maidana and us fans please Floyd. :good

    hopefully Floyd's next fight is someone of Garcia's or Thurman's calibre, Maidana, as tough and gritty as he is, is going to lose badly, winning even a round against someone who's that much better than him will be an accomplishment

    Maidana is better than Ortiz and Guerrero.

    But still not the calibre of fighter Floyd should be fighting...not that he had many options.

    Clottey is a lot faster than Maidana. Although, he doesn't have the punching power of Maidana.

    Probably baldo but I think he's faster than baldo. With that said I'll be disappointed if he doesn't put a demolition job on maidana. If he doesn't he's finally showing signs of really fading and might be a lot more beatable. Maidana is the type of boxer pbf in his prime would either shut out or destroy. To me Thats the most interesting thing about this fight to judge how much he really has left.

    It won't be as bad as the Guerrero fight... at least Maidana has the puncher's chance.

    I disagree with this statement. Clottey has plenty powerful hands. More so than Maidana imo.

    He has a much lower work rate though.

    Clottely is both faster and a harder hitter than maidana.
    As for the question posed... It's a toss up between gatti and baldo
