Wait... So you think you know the PPV number rumors because you were at the fight 5 days ago? Like they were talking about it at the MGM right after the fight? "Ah, that was a good one, bro! I bet it did 1.2 million PPV buys!!! Right?!?!?!" Cool story.
the low live gate, and the fact that it didn't sell out are very telling. Mayweather-Canelo sold out in about an hour. and they added extra circuits/suites just for viewing which also sold out as soon as they went up. No way Pac-Bradley breaks a mil. If it does good for him thoo
These type of threads really separate the real boxing fans from the fake ones. Real fans are happy when a fight regardless of who's in it does well. These are usually boxing fans even if they have their favorites. Fake fans are happy when a fight doesnt do well. These are usual just fanboys of one fighter and dont really follow the entire sport or care about it.
the only reason to be happy about this fight was that is was a good, competetive bout without any tricks from the judges, but if it really did over a million buys, then you can forget about any TR guys fighting GB fighters in the near future, because Arum can now say "we don't need GB or Floyd, we're doing great on our own"
Like I said. No one hates/dislikes Pacquiao. It's his fans that people hate. like you. If you guys bought his fights as much as you talk about Floyd, then Pacquiao would be the richest person in the world.
That is great for boxing! If it is true . . . if the source is what Bob has said we should not hold our breath. We need more 1mill plus PPV to hold of that **** called MMA
Boxing won't die dude. It has too much history. If anything MMA is a fad. We'll see if it can stand the test of time. MMA has been around for a long time. Longer than boxing. But theres a reason why it was never marketed the way boxing was. Because eventually it gets boring. The matches are too concise. Too much grappling, hugging on the ground etc. It doesn't have that element of surprise that boxing does either. A guy could be losing the first 11 rounds in boxing, and steal the fight with one big punch. You can't get that in a 9 minute fight.
Are you for real? maybe you didn't get the memo but ufc has been dead in the water for a couple of years now and all their supposed ppv sales were proven to be false and massively exaggerated.
