I've read the Espinoza quote on the matter. Just seems to me that the deal breaker for Espinoza, IMO, was the possibility of Kovalev beating Hopkins then going across the street to HBO.

Look at this fool patting himself on the back. How did this article prove that Hop was ducking Kov. All fat Dan did in the article was speculate because no were in the article did he quot someone from Hops camp indicating that they were not willing to honor their mandatory obligation. Katy Duva did what was in the best interest of her fighter, which was fighting the easier and less experience Kleverly.
Secondly, does Fat Dan work for either Showtime or HBO? What evidence pointing to someone of Power at Showtime rejecting the idea of Kov fighting Hop on their network.

Look, dude, there are 2 types of people that I refuse to argue with.
You seem to fit the description of both. It's there in the article.

This must be a hard day for you because you seem to be emotionally involved in your hero/father figure/love interest's career. You have my condolences.

Hopkins don't want no part Kovalev, doe.

Ok I get it, you can't prove that Hopkins docked Kovalev:roll:. what a thick ****ing **** you are. There is nothing to be emotionally attached to. Hopkins record speaks for itself, a quarter of which you hero will be lucky to accomplish. Only in the mind of an imbecile like yourself will a champion be required to chase a challenger. If any one is docking here it kovalev who refused to enforce his mandatory against a 50 year old which the ****ing article you referred me to showed. I've given you so many opportunities to prove you point and you're still beating around the bush like the liar you are.

Its crazy how one of the most distinguished fighter in the history of the game could be accused of docking a guy whose claim to fame is Nathan ****ing Kleverly. Advise, don't say **** that you can't prove, ok ******. Now go to bed and don't come back to this thread until you come with some legitimate prove that shows Hopkins docked Kovalev.

I don't think Hopkins ducked him, but when he says the network won't approve the opponent and Kovalev should go fight Cleverly instead, he can't be giving him sh1t later for doing just that. You understand?

Kovalev became Hopkins' mandatory, but Hopkins refuses to fight him, so rather than wait forever, Kovalev knocked out Cleverly for the WBO title. He knew that Hopkins would never fight him. Hopkins said that he would never fight Kovalev or Stevenson. Let's face it, Hopkins lost to Dawson................Kovalev or Stevenson would break Hopkins' bones..........

Hopkins is the ducker here. Always will be. A guy who got owned by jawless Chad Dawson, and who fights B level opponents in defense of his bogus title...

Which is nonsense. They know he will accept it but didn't bother to go for him simply because there's too much risk involved and little to no reward. Losing to a 50 year old could literally ruin his career and ruin him psychologically, beating the 50 year old won't give him much credit anyway. His team are better off avoiding Hopkins for other fights.

That near 50 something you're talking about is Bernard Hopkins, I suggest you do some research on him. Hopkins made a living beating aggressive fighters with power like Kovalev, even at 50 it won't be anything new to him.

He's not giving Kovalev **** now for what he has done, actually he says that that was a good management move from them. Hopkins is with Showtime and GBP and he's not about to take opposite decisions to the network and to the promotional company... As a result, he has a good unification bout with Shumenov with decent undercard fights in DC. Stevenson is coming next with his WBC title so where is Kovalev at this moment? He has Jack and s*** and Jack left town.
