For example if Pac fought someone like Thomas Hearns, i dont think hed make it out of the first few rounds (ala Duran), whereas Mayweather would.

The only guy i think Pac would look better than Mayweather against would be Duran because hed fight Pacqiauos fight.

When i was younger id prefer Pac, as i get older i begin to respect the style of Floyd and and Ward and to a lesser extent Hopkins.

I don't know about that, Hearns would likely destroy both of them.

Pac's aggression I think would at least give him a shot at Hearns, while boxers played right into his hands.

You can't just leave negotiations then a year later come back and agree.. business don't work like that... the terms had changed and then once again manny said no to any kinda deal except 50/50. so once again manny said no, not floyd.

Of course it has a bearing. Pac would catch hell trying to get within punching range of Mayweather. If Pac had a longer reach, he wouldn't have to lunge in off-balance trying to get in punching range. Pac can get away with that stuff most of the time against slower fighters but Mayweather is at least as quick as Pac is.

I do agree that there is a significant size and reach disparity.

Floyd is close to 2 inches taller than Manny, and while that might not seem like a lot, it would be quite apparent when both men were inside the ring on who the bigger guy is.

A master boxer like Mayweather already possesses the majority of advantages against his opposition as far as skills go. A fight with Manny would also give FLoyd the physical advantages, something we rarely see since FLoyd usually fights bigger fighters than himself.

That 5 inch reach advantage is one of the biggest disadvantages Manny would have in a fight with FLoyd. That, and he'd be taken on someone who's just better than him technically and someone with an elite level of defense he's never saw before.

It was comical watching FLoyd fight JMM, the size disparity was abundantly clear. Same would go with Manny.

I don't take it like you're hating. It was a clear trip which is why it was not ruled a knockdown.

I root for Mayweather and will catch almost every Pac fight but honestly I've changed opinions on this fight three times since 09' when it was first brought up i picked Mayweather to win by a near shutout, later on I was convinced by others it could be a Leonard-Duran Hagler-Hearns type fight, if they fight now I think Mayweather gets the stoppage. At the end of the day they need to fight each other ASAP to end discussions one way or the other
