Roy JOnes is a great fighter. His level of competition, especially early on when he was in his prime wasn't that good but to no fault of his own. When you're the clear # 1 P4P fighter in the sport, every fight you have should be a big megafight. I've seen him at his prime taking on guys who didn't deserve to share the ring with him. His wins over Tony and Hopkins were great in the early 90's, he didn't have great competition in the mid to late 90's when he was in his most dominant form, and than age caught up to him by the early 2000's. I can't have him ranked over FLoyd in the ATG rankings even though RJJ in his prime was one of the greatest fighters I ever saw and someone who I think would be favored against anyone at JMW or MW. Mayweather has the better resume with the better competition. Doesn't hurt FLoyd that he's been a recognized P4P top 10 fighter since 1998 either.
