Still nothing official for the July 12 PPV date with Chavez Jr. Why is Chavez dragging his heels? Time is of the essence when it comes to signing these PPV fights. A minimum of three months out seems to be required for all the pre fight promotions to get done.

This is GGG's PPV date and apparently they are having more difficulty finding an opponent. If Chavex Jr does not want this fight he should just say so and give GGG's team time to find someone else(whomever that could be) and salvage the date.

If Jr backs out, GGG will probably lose the PPV and get bumped back to a regular HBO show while also missing out on the extra exposure and financial rewards from the PPV.

Negotiations are back on, apparently Arum and Chavez came to an agreement about contract extension and the fight should be signed early next week.

well, if you were Chavez Jr, and you were staring at an inevitable, possibly career and face changing beating, you'd obviously want to get the biggest purse possible
