That is a big ''IF'', Let's not get carried away just because Alvarez defeated Angulo... We will see how he performs against Lara, could move up to fight GGG etc.

Augustus would beat Canelo, but he would be robbed by he judges. :yep

We'll have to wait to see how Canelo does against Lara and a few more fights before we start talking P4P.

A lineal champion only loses the claim to the throne if he retires (which Mayweather didn't) or if he abdicates his claim (which also didn't occur). Fighters in the past have retained their claim to a lineal title with periods of activity that were longer than the layoff that Mayweather had btx May 2010 and Sept 2011.

I mean, I guess you could claim that Mayweather might have abdicated the claim when he fought Cotto at JMW for a belt, but since he maintained and subsquently proved that he could come back down to WW to defend his title, lineage would have remained intact. It's a different matter than simply holding a belt from a sanctioning body. :conf

absolutely, they're everywhere. the fuentes trial in spain last year was shocking. if pac did turn out to be doping, i wouldn't be surprised, but no more nor less than i would be floyd. in fact i'd be more surprised if they were clean.

some dipshits slurp up every bit of propaganda, though. like this scared of needles bs, or pac being wrong to sue for defamation even after the other side settled and apologized. do you halfwit ****s still say freedom fries?

Most reasonable people would agree that it was on Team Pac for the fight not happening in 2009. To me it is inexcusable that they let a few drops of blood stand in the way of the fight of the century to happen.

What I do not understand is how people think that after those first negotiations failed that either side would agree to the same deal it no one, not two but three years later? If you know anything about contract law, is that a deal only has so long for a shelf life. In fact since, if one party does anything that may effect the conditions (signing to fight Clottey) of the contract it is a dead deal. So the correct way to look at this is it is a serious of negotiations not just one long process. Under this framework:

2009--> Manny walked away because of the drug testing

2012--> Floyd calls out Manny in every way thinkable. Arum said Manny's cut would not heal in time for a fight in May. He also said not enough time to promote such a big event, followed by the need to build a stadium in the dessert or fight in Dubia or Macua and finally he said he will fight JMM in June. (IT SEEMED LIKE FLOYD WOULD BE BEHIND BARS COME MAY). Arum announces that Pac's cut will heal by May and the JMM fight will be in May. (FLOYD GETS A DEAL TO PUSH BACK HIS SENTENCE UNTIL JUNE). Arum said Pac's cut is worse than he earlier thought and will not be able to fight until June. Floyd gets frustrated and decides to call Pac personally . . . Makes a 40mill offer. (THAT EVERYONE AGREES IS A LOW BALL OFFER) instead of countering with a reasonable sum Pac says 50-50 and hangs up. It is clear at this point that Floyd is clearly the A-side so what does Arum do . . . offers Floyd 50 mill (which is saying **** off we do not want to fight because we do no think you are the A side) they could have 60-40 or 55-45 but by putting this non offer up effectively killed the momentum. END OF SECOND ATTEMPT.

since then . . . a lot of talk from Team Pac but I have yet to hear an offer being made to floyd. They said that NOW they are willing to take what ever test (should have did it in 2009 and the fight would have been made), they say they will fight for free/charity should have taken the 40mill (that would have done a lot for the people of the Philippines), but he says he will only fight for Bob (who never had a great relationship with floyd to begin with but has gone down hill exponentially since 2009) . . . why not let his contract run out fight floyd then resign with top rank?

Another question . . . why does floyd name only come up when Pac has a fight coming up?

the reality is that this has not been some on going saga . . . its been a series of starts and stops with things changing in between. Therefore, it is reasonable that the side with the stronger hand would want more and more as time goes on.

so Roach contradicting himself on the testing issue means that Pac is guilty??

so everything that Roach says is therefore the responsibility of Manny even though he didn't say anything??

i'm glad i never got involved with in-depth discussions about Manny and Floyd, because people start seeing and hearing what they want to see and hear.

    It's what the people want.

    Except for bitches.

Mayweather talked all that **** about Pacquaio, disrespected his family and his people.

    That's the bottom line.

People want it. Mayweather ran his mouth.

    What's stopping them from fighting?

    Arum? Mayweather's fault.

    **** that stupid ass excuse.

Mayweather is a fighter. If you gonna run your mouth, back your **** up and fight the man.

    Or you're a COWARD.

    PERIOD.

There is nothing else to that.

    Did Pacquaio talk ****?

    Nope.

    But Mayweather did.

That's all there is to it. I don't see past that.

This whole goldboy vs top rank vs hbo vs showtime and all the fighters duckin by runnin around and blaming promoters all started because of ONE COMMON DENOMINATOR.

    MAYWEATHER.

HE IS RUININ boxin. Makin it about runnin and avoidin and ****.

Why hasn't Quillin and GGG fought? Promoter? Bull****.

    Network. Bull****.

Why won't Bradley be able to fight Garcia? Promoter? BULL****.

    Network BULL****?

Ya'll gay mothe r****ers. Ya'll letting people run a ****in train on you.

    You lil bitches.

In the pen, they would take your pudding.

You just let a MAN tell you what to do and you just do whatever he says.

Mother ****er says, jump and you say how high.

You allow this to happen. You RUIN the sport of boxing.

    It's bull****.

But it all got started by MAYWEATHER and his FEAR of PACQUAIO.

You talk ****, you back it up, or you admit you SCARED.

    PERIOD.

    Hold the applause.

it doesn't say Pac is guilty. It's damning evidence tho that it was their camp that caused negotiations to fall apart

It means pacs team is full of **** and have been all along. They have been holding up this fight especially the first talks back when they walked away because of testing and fought clottey.:deal. Me and others tried telling you this for years but people didn't want to listen.

take all the people out of the equation.....just ask yourself why wouldnt a top boxer take random blood testing that would stop 14 days out for millions of dollars to box?

No. Pacquiao agreed to the cutoff. Then Mayweather moved the goal post to day of (so no cutoff). All along from day one, Pacquiao agreed to full blood/urine testing immediately after the fight.
