Pulev will have no respect for Wlad. He struggled very badly with TOS 10 years ago and Pulev will bring the same style. Wlad will quack out of the fight. Its going to be interesting to see what happenes after the Leapai fight.
Travis Walker did check that chin. Ustinov also hit him clean on several occasions. Both of them stunned him but then he punished them properly. Tony Thompson`s power punches had zero effect on that massive head.
So you are saying that if you are in control of a fight, it is not possible to gas :think Don't think I can take your comments seriously, 'stupid'.
Not but he shouldn't take him lightly.... I'm really looking forward to this one, been a while since Wlad has faced a good jabber. Pulev will be competitive, but not dangerous...
Good jab nothing more. Pulev struggled with Walker. Wlads jab is better and he is a better fighter all around
Lots of people have struggled with Walker.... Arreola, Chagaev, Adamek, Browne, Leapai etc Nothing to be ashamed of really, he may lose a lot but he almost always puts up a fight. I agree that Wlad will dominate this fight, but Pulev will be game.
Vlad has nothing to worry about by fighting Pulev, nor any other heavyweight in the world...................
What solid did you see in these rounds. Did Pulev get hurt? Did you see him on the ground? If that is what you call solid rounds.... 1 year layoff is the real reason for his passive behavior at first couple of rounds. Watch the fight again..... And Yes, Pulev does not have much chance against Wladimir
I'd say yes. Pulev has the potential to beat Wlad at his own game. Contact fighters have never been successfull against wlad, they eat too much jabs and right crosses to be able to go rounds fresh, and Wlad is very mobile. But Pulev's best shot is the power jab, and with that jab alone, and basically nothing else, he pizzafaced and stopped a previously unbeaten 6'8 300 lbs monster. That jab even gave him the victory over Thompson, an unhortodox fighter that gave Wlad something to think in their fist encounter, and that was able to neutralize Wlad's jab. Really, Pulev has way more chances than Povetkin, imo, even if he does not have his pedigree.
If there was anyone out of training, that was Pulev, not Thompson. As you said by yourself, Thompson was coming from two big and relatively easy wins against Price, he was in good training conditions, not inactive like Pulev had to be. And in fact, Pulev underperformed that night. The pulev that stopped Ustinov would have stopped Thompson too.
