Yes, but be fair, he was 35, with 50 fights on his resume before his first real loss. He has to be up there. Things didn't end well for Ray Leonard and Joe Louis etc around that age. The only difference is, is that sadly Roy has continued. If Ray Leonard had fought on, he probably would have retired with ten losses on his resume. Roy just can't give up the thing he loves.
Oh you mean AFTER he became irrelevant? Why would Jones want to fight a guy coming off 2 losses? Now maybe if he had wanted to fight Jones when he was champ then Jones would have fought him. Instead, he admitted to not wanting to fight Jones when he was in his prime,and would rather keep fighting in Britain for good money against lesser opponents. Explain to me how he was more dangerous than Hill? Also,it would be nice it you admitted that Eubank outright didnt want to fight Jones the whole way through his prime. He only suddenly wanted to fight Jones when he(Eubank) had been beaten a couple of times and saw Jones as a money spinning fight he could retire on.
Hill was just a jabber, Eubank was the most devastating puncher when he got in-close and had a hideous chin, obviously.
Yeah Jones said in July '92 in Boxing News that Eubank was his favourite fighter and he'd love to go to London to fight him. Eubank said in June '94 - "I fight to win, and so that's why I won't fight Jones. He can beat me.
