Oh look. Not 1.2 million like the ****** Timeout claimed.

    What a surprise.

    Bob will say 750-800k.

Oh and he won't be saying anything for a while. He's on vacation. Cell phones don't exist in Arum's world.

We'll have to wait until he's back. :nut

I'm surprised, I thought it would do much worse. I said 500-700k but I thought it would be 500-550.

Maybe Pac is a bigger draw than I thought :think

People already knew who won the first time

Kevin Iole of Yahoo who is a more reliable source wrote that it did 800,000 to 825,000 buys.

Early PPV rumors arent reliable, at least for exact figures. You can kind of get a general idea. Thats because there are so many cable providers. Once receipts from Comcast, Time Warner, AT&T/DISH and Cox come in - and as the larger ones they will typically be first - you have a pretty good idea what tier of sales you are going to end up with.

But there are still dozens of smaller cable providers who just dont get things processed as quickly. Also, as Top Rank actually owns the broadcast - financials are probably sent directly to them. I doubt HBO takes the time to poll many cable operators - I am sure they can find out exact numbers, but other than via routine conversations with the big players why bother?

I said it wouldn't hit or would barely scrape to get 700K buys.

He took a guess in his article. That wasn't even an estimate, it was a guess. He said "likely".

Woods says he has eye and ears on it, and it was heard to be 625K.

625k is alright for Pac in only his 2nd comeback. Its not that bad. I thought it would max out at 600k.

The only person on the top rank stable that can generate over a million buys for Pac again is marquez. And that fight isn't going to happen.
