The best match a boxer vs brawler for sure Maidana will keep the pressure on Floyd.

Yeah I'm trying to be realistic. It's not going to do earth-shattering numbers. But 1.1 to 1.4 seems right. Maidana's performance against AB will definitely help. All In All I think it maxes out at 1.3. 1.4 would be very good. but IMO 1.3 is what we're looking at. And I think the fight itself is going to be good though. Looking forward to seeing how Floyd reacts to Maidana's constant pressure/power.

I realized that. I asked like 3 times "If not Maidana then who should he be fighting" no rebuttle.

For May 3rd 2014, this was the best fight. If he had chosen Khan people would be saying he should have fought Maidana. I don't think theres anything wrong with this matchup. And I think CHino will do better than most.

Seriously? So Erislandy Lara wasn't a much better fight?

Maidana has NO good wins. He has beaten no one. As a matter of fact, no one he has beaten even has a significant win in almost the last decade. (That would be the faded version of Morales he barely beat) So if I mention guys like Andrade, a Cotto rematch, Lara, Garcia or Porter you are going to discredit them, yet Maidana has beaten no one. Porter beat the SH*T outta the guy who dominated Maidana.

Maidana has no significant fan base, so playing that card is useless. Even if he does have more fans than the others I mentioned it isn't nearly enough to make a dent in PPV.

Sergio would have come down... that is a better fight. That's 6 guys without even mentioning Bradley or Pac.

After Garcia's last fight, people were saying Floyd would cherry pick him.. Plus his camp said he wasn't ready.. Floyd can't make him fight.. People also said if Cotto beat Martinez, Floyd would cherry pick Cotto.. It's not like the Cotto fight was as close as people thought anyway..

You know what they said about the last guy who came down 2, or 1 pound if you count the Trout fight weight, in Canelo.. So imagine if Sergio came down.. And he's 'old' and 'past his prime'.. Everything you hate about all of his last few opponents are combined into one with Martinez...

1.1-1.4 does seem realistic. I put it somewhere around 1.1, which is still respectable coming off a monetary superfight like Canelo.

First off, Floyd has had May 3rd booked for a LONG time...meaning Garcia wouldn't have had that sh*t performance against Herrera. Cotto is a known commodity and did better than people thought, so don't tell me that wouldn't have sold better. Sergio, while not a great fight IMO due to the weight, is STILL better than Maidana.

Like I said, Maidana has zero good wins. ZERO.

It seems like the so-called casual fans are a lot smarter than these supposed hard core fans. They know a good fight when they see one. I read where people are judging Maidana by the Alexander and Khan fights which happened three years ago. Those are some of the most inaccurate statements that can be made when applying them to the Maidana of today. I don't think that Pac can handle him and he would knock Bradley straight out. His last three fights match up with Bradley's and Pac's last three fights.

He fought Broner, Lopez, Martin, and Karass. Pac fought Bradley twice, Rios and JMM twice. Bradley fought Pac twice, JMM, and Ruslan. Look at the events in each of those fights and Maidana has the performance edge. The Mayweather fight is the right fight at the right time and it will have good action and good numbers. I see Mayweather winning but it is no picnic. Maidana is a champion and a worthy adversary. It seems to me that these so-called hard core fans are just slugfest junkies. There is more to boxing than that.

Part of the challenge with this fight is that a) most don't feel it will be competitive and b) we have a decent idea of who Floyd is fighting next. Combine that with a very uneventful one sided win in a "superfight" and you likely have a letdown here. Now for Floyd that would be like 900k which is still amazing.

WHAT??????? Who is Maidanas best win? Maidana hasn't even LOST to as good of an opponent, let alone BEAT an opponent as good as Bradley, Marquez or Pac.

    Wtf are you talking about?
