Kovalev's Trainer: VIDEO Sergey would end Bernard!!!

It's an old video. Kovalev beat White and got his mandated fight with Hopkins ordered by the IBF yet he decided to fight Cleverly instead. You can say you'll end this and that but when the opportunity comes up you take another direction then you need to stop talking and start doing.

 

Come on man , I like Bernard and respect everyone on here , but Pavlik? Really?

I also think Kovalev stops the Calzaghe that Hopkins fought.

John David Jackson, a former Hopkins opponent, was in the stable alongside Sugar Shane Mosley, Nazim Richardson and people related with GBP. He actually was 2nd assist and close to Bernard when Hopkins at 43 faced Calzaghe in Planet Hollywood under Freddie Roach and when Bernard faced Kelly Pavlik in AC when Brother Nazim took over again. Basically you can hear at the end of the interview when Tommy Hearns name is mentioned and longevity is the matter concerned that J D J recognizes that Bernard is still top level due to training and lifestyle. However is turn towards Kovalev and even before Cornelius White is clearly a sign that a rupture took place between parts and we all know J d Jackson is not elite as yet.

 

That we know. BHop knows it too. That is why he's fighting Kolavev in the press, but would not get anywhere near him in the ring. Maybe he shouldn't - Hopkins is already a legend.
