Neither would dream of asking for a 50/50 split with floyd. However,it is opined that manny is just as influential in the sport as floyd and has as much earning power.

It's either or.... This thread is a joke cos manny is not on Floyd's level and deserves a fixed sum or manny earns relatively more than he declares and is a tax cheat not to mention all other cheating accusations..... Have your pick.

For the next couple years, whenever pac gets paid the IRS & BWI will be there to snatch the check out of his hands.
The only way he can speed up the repayment of his debt is to get a Mayweather fight, else he'll be repaying them for years to come.

Ion no bro I think he settled that already and they probably made him pay a small amount like they did floyd a few years back……but same thing happen to Steve harvey he had to pay 20 because of his accountant but who knows manny is still living good I doubt he has to pay 60 mill lol according to the thread he haven't even made 60 in all his fights lol But just because you owe dont mean your BROKE….hell I wouldn't dish out 30 mill from my bank even if I had it I'd set up payment arrangements over time!!

In 2012 Manny was the 2nd highest paid athlete with somewhere like $67M in earnings.
I read an article that said the Manny must pay back the IRS 40% of his purse for each fight. That's just to apply to his debt and doesn't include the regular IRS tax deduction or the Philippine tax debt.

    How do you know that?

I own an accounting and financial planning business and most of what's being said on this thread is 100% grade A bull****.

First of all if one does assume he owes this money, and that's a pretty big assumption in itself since Arum would be required to withhold some of the money, since Pac isn't a US citizen and therefore foreign taxes would have to be with held.

    http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw8ben.pdf

But perhaps the PPV money was paid to a corporation that funnelled the money out of the country, stranger things have happened. But it was Pac's intent to avoid paying these taxes, it wouldn't make much sense having fought his last fight in Vegas.

Secondly, who's to say he doesn't have any $$. What's the value of his houses, maybe he has investment accounts? etc. These could collectively be worth 10's of millions of dollars and could potentially exceed whatever tax obligations he has by a huge margin.

You generally don't get double taxed, what happens is when you pay tax in the US it would count as foreign tax paid on his tax return in the Philippines, that's usually how this works, but I'm certainly not an expert on Philippine taxes nor am I aware of whether or not there's a tax treaty between the two countries.
