    Nobody.
Hatton fans act like he was some dangerous human being just to cover up for Hatton's own garbage resume

His longevity helps him a lot. Not sure who regards him as "so great"

He never fought Floyd , that's why he's great, now Floyd haters can make up stories of how Tsyzu would of beat him in his prime....

He wasn't getting battered and he didn't catch Judah with a hay maker. Zab did make the mistake of getting right back up though, had he stayed down till four or 5 and then gotten up the fight could have gone on... would probably have ended the same way though.

Kostya Tszyu was basically a good likable fighter that sometimes produced good Ko's or brawls. Why shouldn't people hold him in high regard?

A great amature who turned pro pretty late , was extremely accurate and would have given Oscar a very tough fight.

Fighting Floyd would have been fun, back then he would have been favourite.

Fighting Hatton , its a complete myth that Hatton did all the holding by those that didnt actually watch the fight , Tszyu has always been a very physical fighter and held a lot in fights , he just fought someone who did it better , he wasnt shot and lost to a fighter all wrong for him , plain and simple.

I don't think anyone regards him as great as much as well respected. I'm also suspecting most of the posters didn't see too much of Tszyu either.

I caught him mostly on the tail end of his career. We were still in the era where it was uncommon for multiple weight champions and fighters could still be great by cleaning out their own division.

Tszyu did just that, he cleared out his division and was one of the only true champions of his era. There were only three unified champions, Bernard Hopkins at middleweight and Roy Jones at Light Heavyweight and Kostya Tszyu.

No one regards him as 'so great'. He was an outstanding fighter almost from the moment he turned pro, beating Juan Laporte, Livingstone Bramble, and Roger Mayweather in his first ten fights.

From that point he consistent fought and beat fighters who were typically short of A level but who still represented world class threats.

Hurtado, Pineda, Gonzalez, Mitchell (X2), Tackie, Leija, and Judah were all good, dangerous contenders. Sprinkle in an ancient Chavez and fast fading Rafa Ruelas if you want.

The problem for Tszyu was that he fought in an unusually barren era for the 140 pound class. And once the division developed real depth with Mayweather, Hatton, Gatti, Cotto, Harris, etc. Kostya was pretty much wracked and burnt out from a constant string of injuries.

This. It's funny when people say Floyd ducked him. Below 140 Floyd was a killer and by the time a Tszyu fight actually made any sense, Kosta was, as you mentioned, too damaged from a string of injuries. Floyd would have dominated that fight.

Kosta was a beneficiary of a weak division.

He could've been great, but he didn't rematch Cool Vince Phillips, and now his legacy is a bit tarnished when it's all said and done. Kostay was a good fighter, but it is what it is.
