Name Fighters That Aren't Tailor Made For Mayweather?

I'm curious.... someone in another thread was saying that "every fighter is taylor made for mayweather" after the fight is over.

kind of a good point. I want to see a list of guys who people think are not taylor made for him

 

There is none in this era.

 

Lara, GGG, Molina, Matthysse, Bradley, Pacquaio, Thurman

 

I don't know. Floyd doesn't have a style really. He fights differently for everyone. He fought Ortiz/Cotto in the pocket. Then used movement against Guerrero, and then while it would have made sense to use movement against Canelo, he didn't. He was inside the pocket.

I think his mind is his most underrated asset. More than his defense. Its just how smart he is. Something clicks up there for him ,where it doesnt click for other fighters.

He just figures people out. I don't see anyone from 140-154 causing him any trouble.

He only possibly loses if he decides to go to 160. I think he could win there too. But its a big risk still.

 

Any fighter who actually fights at his natural weight from 147 - 154 and is in the top three would give Floyd problems.

Floyd either gets you at a catchweight or calls out Berto beaters.

Fight Lara at a full 154 and we will see how much he has.

 

He'd still be the heavy favourite against any man @ 60.

Matthysse would get frustrated, his defense is lacking. He wouldn't catch Floyd.

Bradley isn't smart enough, or disciplined enough for Floyd, and might be too small height/reach wise. Floyd would control the distance on the outside, and then punish him on the inside.

Thurman's best chance would be outboxing Floyd, and we know thats pretty close to impossible.

Pac would be open for right hands/counters all night. If Marquez and Bradley can tag him with shorter arms, slower hands, and not as good timing. Floyd would have fun with Pac. I do think Pac could possibly hurt Floyd if he caught him though.

GGG is the only one I think could possibly beat FMJ. Not because he's superior, but just because he's way bigger with really heavy hands. He'd come in to ring around 170.

Lara while not tailor made for Floyd, wouldn't be able to figure him out. Floyd is just flat out better than him across the board.

 

He's not lying. He could very well lose those fights. But he's definitely going in the favorite against Quillen, Martinez, or GGG. Doesn't mean he'd win all 3, but he'd definitely be the betting favorite.
