Yea looks like it might not go ahead I knew Chavez would avoid him they don't want to feed him to GGG.
I thought the fight was on I just checked again and looks like it still being discussed upon making this thread i thought it was a done deal.
Junior is such a wildcard,(no pun intended). Is he coming in in shape and motivated? If so, I think he could give Golovkin a good run. But either way, ultimately, I think GGG will prove to be too much. If Jr shows up at anything less than top shape he'll get beat up. He's tough, so he'll probably last the distance either way, unless he shows up like he did for Vera I(he'll get pummeled).
no at 160 it might have been. Bob will protect Chavez at all costs as he is the cash cow not GGG. Basically they will do everything possible to give Chavez Jr every possible advantage. I suspect a step too far for GGG but I hope I'm wrong.
if brian vera beat up chavez once, GGG will pummel him hardly a steep step the guy won maybe 2 rounds vs martinez
He easily avenged his "loss" to Vera once he took it a bit serious. Rematch settles controversy, Jr made things right. His other loss was to a healthy Martinez. Everyone but GGG loses to a healthy Martinez. Hes no Andre Ward, but he can fight a bit. Still, I agree he gets pummeled.
Chavez has motivation issues but has improved since he and GGG moved around. Not that I think GGG is a monster but I thunk he beats on Jr for 12 rounds. Chavez has the power to change the fight with one punch but Golovkin throws a lot of leather per round and bad intentions on them. 9-3 Golovkin
You apparently don't follow boxing in-depth. In the Martinez and first Vera fight, Chavez was smoking pot and "training" in his living room. Roach said Chavez visited the gym less than a half a dozen times peeping for Martinez. Surprise, he performed horribly. He abandoned these "training methods" in his last Vera fight and looked much better. If he comes in shape and fired up, which I believe he would, it's without a doubt a step up. Chavez's size, iron chin and ability to fight inside would give GGG a challenge he's never faced before. GGG most likely wins the fight, but it's definitely an entertaining and good step up. At this point, any challenge willing to get in the ring with GGG is refreshing, but it's possible Chavez will duck out of this fight, despite saying he wanted GGG next.
