Wouldn't Jones be higher, since he has a win over Hopkins? If Hopkins wins tonight, Jones's win over him looks VERY impressive.

Rjj. He would beat Hopkins resume no problem. Even a faded RJ beat Tarver. A prime RJ would handle Tarver no problem.

not including jones, hopkins beat 5 hall of famers - tarver, johnson, wright, trinidad and de la hoya and had a controversial loss to calzaghe

    look at their common opponents:

    - hopkins finished prime but blown up trinidad, jones UD'd a shot version after losing some early rounds
    - hopkins beat an unbeaten johnson who sparked jones later in his career
    - tarver beat jones twice and had a close fight, hopkins dominated him

Not necessarily does Forrest rank above Mosley or Junior Jones over Barrera?

Also Hopkins has a win over Jones Jr as well. But of course Jones Jr's win was at a time when it mattered more as Roy was shot to **** for the rematch.

I find it hard to separate them, Hopkins does have the deeper resume but Jones Jr's resume isn't as bad as some think, though it is lacking in a few notable names. But then Jones has the wins over Hopkins and Toney.

But if Hopkins can keep winning titles and somehow unify then he'd outrank Jones Jr.
