Not including Hopkins here are the hall of famers he beat

    Toney
    Hill
    R.Johnson
    Tarver

None of those guys were smaller men like Tito and Oscar

    Jones resume easily trumps Hopkins

hopkins had 20 consecutive title defences and then moved up and dominated the man who knocked out jones

Tarver's only claim to fame is a shot jones, johnson even though i love the guy is iffy, tito was overrated and **** at MW, Oscar see tito, Winky was inactive and was a nobody above 154, I think he beat joe but so what:D

Bhop's claim to fame is his longevity.

I rank RJJ higher because of his move up to heavyweight and wins over bhop and toney. However, if you take those achievements away he resume looks like calslappy's.

Look at the guys he fought at the time -->garbage. His middleweight reign is overrated.

nobody else has had 20 consecutive title defences

jones' feat is remarkable but didnt sam langford draw for welter belt and get ducked at heavy even though he was blind in one eye??

jones failed to do what bob fitzsimmons did by going to heavy then back down to lhw to recapture the title.

hopkins did not duck anybody in his reign. he even called out the best jmw's such as winky and vargas because mw was weak.

    jones beat ruiz not lewis

Do you think Hopkins could have won a title at SMW?

Depends on how you score it, bhop may have a slight edge on resume.

But for actual in ring ability? Its hard to think anyone in history to match a prime Jones

Let's be honest once Jones' legs were gone he was done as the freak ..It was too late for him to go back to being a conventional fighter ..So the guys that did beat him caught the guy who couldn't get out the way of the punches.
