Great card GB **** all over TR and Arum, it's weird they stack their regular Showtime cards more than PPV at times, remember the Broner vs Maidana card end of last year some quality cards, very excited for tonight.

    Great card in DC.
I would have liked to have seen Quillin in with better opposition, but it's all good.

PPV sucks. I remember when Tyson fights were $29.00. Now to make these stars and their promoters more loot, they are $60-70 bucks.

Casual fans aren't going to spend that much on these fights.
At this rate of increase, soon PPV will be $100 for Bob Arum type cards.

not really impressed with this card.

Hopkins Shumenov has the potential to be a snoozer. Quillin is a joke fighting a no-noper, and Porter vs Malignaggi features no intrigue because Paulie can't crack a goddamn egg and is long past his best.

    Still better than Pac-Bradley.
I mean, who didn't know that pac would beat Bradley?

None of the fights are better than Pac Bradley but yes, the undercard for it was total shite.

Not sure where you get the impression Pacquiao beating Bradley was a forgone conclusion, though.

I thought the Beltran and Vargas fights did pretty good actually. Usmanee was game and Vargas won a tough back and forth fight against a tough Allakhverdiev. Supposed to be ****, but didn't turn out that way. No losers in the undercards everyone made a name for themselves. Usmanee fought valiantly would be a good espn fighter, Beltran gets his shot at Crawford, Vargas finally crowned champ, and Allakhverdiev gave him hell for it. Look forward to seeing any of these in the future they made fans.

I'm lovin' that it's not PPV.

That it was close to being a card I'd be happy to pay for (but don't have to) is a compliment since we get to see it on normal Showtime. :good:!:

agreed. The last HBO card actually had a good main event. (Pac vs Brad) but the showtime floyd PPV is complete and utter trash. Sure each fight has a big name in it but the main event is trash.

I never buy PPVs. In the UK I already pay over the odds for Sky and American fights are on at stupid o'clock.

Great card tonight. Not going to argue. Looking forward to these bouts very much! :bbb

Paulie is a tough 1st defense for Porter.
"The Alien" tries to unite a title.
Quillin looks to keep his title and try to position himself for a shot at Martinez/Cotto winner. (I know people say it won't happen, I'm just saying Quillin obviously will want a shot)

    Codswallop.

It keeps the stars rolling in dough.

How much more exposure would the stars and the sport get if the general public could tune in easily when they fight? How do you cultivate new fans if you are charging an arm and leg to watch the sport's biggest attractions fight?

You don't. PPV's basically hit up the fans already emotionally invested.

What PPV does is pare down the overall fanbase of the sport gradually.
