Id bet on Mayweather to win this fight by UD. His defense is great whilst Leonards is nice but he is definitely easier to hit than Mayweather, Mayweather has better fundamentals and has the more astonishing physical gifts of reflex, speed of hand and foot and athleticism. Mayweather's the more pure boxer and he's no pretty boy either he's a tough mother****er and can fight inside too, Mayweather has never lost, he's rarely even been in a close fight and has never been knocked down. Mayweather continues to perform at the highest level time and time and time again, he has the deication Ray could only dream of. I love Ray Leonard but struggle to see where Leonard has any advantages other than calibre of opponents fought, i.e. Leonard has fought four guys arguably better than anyone on Floyds resume but then again Floyd has awesome wins too and has a higher number of wins over outstanding fighters overall whilst arguably putting in better performances. There's so much too say here but I don't want to go over board. What do you lot think.
Leonard went to war with some of the greats and finished with his hand raised. At his best he was a cut above Mayweather.
Leonard is bigger and (slightly) better. If they were naturally the same size, then Leonard by close decision. At 147 straight up, then Leonard by a wider margin. Coming from someone who absolutely loves watching Mayweather in the ring, it is ridiculous the way SOME people overrate him.
leonard is a proven better fighter who got caught by a machine in hearns, dropped and hurt and still finished him, i think he would bully mayweather.
yeah I like Floyd as well. As everyone knows, Leonard had problems when faced with good, smart movers with excellent speed (the majority were old bags & immobile stiffs ie; Price, Green, Lalonde, Hagler). Ray never faced anyone with Floyd's all around skills N speed, other than Noris N Camacho so it doesnt take an Einstein to conclude the final outcome the analysis breaks down to a simple one: Floyd, like Norris N Camacho, would be slick, quick, and make Ray Leonard quite sick
Fact is that Hearns who WASN'T considered the " boxer " in the first fight with Leonard was winning until the 14th round, by doing exactly that. So I can see why a case could be made for Mayweather outboxing Leonard. He can't possibly win if it becomes a fight though.
Until I've actually seen Mayweather get hit with someone with SRL power, I'm picking Ray. I don't doubt Mayweather's boxing skills are on par with Leonard, but I'm not sure of his power and his ability to take Leonard punch, so to me SRL is a more proven fighter at 147.

I beg to differ. What was Hagler in 1987 other than a used up punching bag. Many fans of Leonard dont like seeing this becuz it takes away from the accomplishment of being the only one to take his title. In addition, it makes him come across as one who picked a fight with a man whom he avoided for years, for obvious reasons Had he wanted to remove doubt of this, the fight wouldve come off at a more timely date anyways, Ray cant handle Floyd's movement any more than he could Terry Norris
