I thought Calzaghe won the fight; Hopkins was a little too sluggish in the middle rounds and Joe's workrate was enough IMO to win an 8-4 or 7-5 type of fight.

But Calzaghe is no legend, in fact, I'd say Hopkins is well above him in the ATG rankings. By at least 20-30 spots I'd imagine.

Might as well be with all this talk of legends and stealing of souls and retiring with all that could be done.

As for The Truth, I was rooting for Calzaghe and had him winning, so I have zero problems giving him the credit he deserves for this fight.

What's hurt are my sensibilities when I realize the severe lack of perspective you guys seem to have.

The guy was a great fighter, had a great career and retired on top. Let those things speak for themselves. No need for embellishment.

Switch the places. Joe is way above Hopkins. Remember Joe has 20 defense of a single weight class too. Hopkins fights dirty and shouldn't rate higher than a clean, honorable fighter. Hopkins should have lost at least 5 fights for fouling.

Calzaghe made Hopkins look silly. Hopkins tried to act and it didn't work. he was disgraceful. Joe is the man.

Wrong. The man retired 6 years ago, and true boxing fans wish he was back.

While people wish Hopkins's boring ass would retire.

Calzaghe is probably remembering how the judges stole the fight for him as he is at home, on his knees searching the carpet for any rocks that may have fallen. That's a real champ thar.
