Calzaghe made Hopkins look like a fool.....................Kovalev would knock Hopkins out, but Hopkins will not go near him. I can't see Hopkins beating Stevenson, who went from HBO to Showtime to avoid fighting Kovalev...........

Yes. Calzaghe would have beaten Shumenov too.

What a newbie statement, Joe got busier as the fight went on, why Hop lost - his inactivity caused him to lose, take it like a man like your idol.

Joe is not under rated. He is who he is. He's retired and whatever Hopkins does with his career will not enhance or take from him. If he was still fighting then maybe I could see him having some bragging rights but now he is just a fighter among several that Hopkins happened to lose a fight to.

B Hop's legacy is his own and fu ck slappy Joe.

tends to happen when you fight dethroned former champs after someone younger pulled them off their perch
do you know how long they (jones and Hopkins) were sitting there and joe did nothing?
or does "take it like a man" only apply when it works in your favor?

Let's put it down like it really is or should be for you Gents. Calzaghe is a great fighter, much better than Froch and possibly than Ward. He left when there was no one left to fight him and he proved his thing at SMW and beating two old time Greats which doesn't make him a Great cause he already is a Great by Himself. I have all Calzaghe's career fights as I have Bernard's and Roy's. Now let's stop here for a while, I agree Bernard learned how to pace himself better after the Calzaghe fight and specially against Pavlik but his wins against Pascal, Tavoris and Shumenov for LHW Titles add nothing to Calzaghe who had almost not a career at 175 pounds, maybe a couple of fights at a catchweight of 172 and for the Ring and lineal LHW Championship but nothing much else. If Calzaghe wanted a career at 175 pounds he should have gone after Dawson who was available.

With Bhop unifying world titles at 49 does that mean I beat him at his peak?!

    you're contradicting yourself
calzaghe was a great SMW - no doubt about that

but to be a great fighter (period), you need to do more than beat "two old time greats"
that option was always on the table

I suppose the question is how many places above Calzaghe do you rank Taylor in the all time great list, seeing as beat a younger Hopkins, twice, in a more convincing manner.
