You know I don't understand this at all.

Canelo weighed in at 153 lbs in his fight against Austin Trout, that's ONE WHOLE POUND more than what he weighed in vs Mayweather.

it's been reported on another website that Canelo's team was lobbying for the fight with FLoyd at 150 lbs over a year ago, a way to entice getting the P4P king in the ring.

If FLoyd really wanted to be a dick about it, he could've kept Canelo to his word and made him fight at 150 lbs and not 152.

Comments like yours makes Mayweather sound like he only fights at Catchweight's, which obviously isn't the case at all. he fought DLH and COtto at the full 154 lb limit, the only fight I can remember where there was a CW involved outside of Canelo was when FLoyd fought Marquez under the WW limit, a fight where JMM was the one lobbying to jump up from LW and challenge him, which was also a fight where FLoyd had his longest layoff, almost 2 years.

I think if fighters just shut up and not try to entice FLoyd to fight them at CW's, I'm fairly certain he'd fight them at the regular weight division amount. I don't think Canelo weighing in at 153 or 154 lbs would've made the least bit of difference as far as the outcome.

I think he would lose to Canelo at 152, lose to Cotto at 154, and he could lose to Mosley at 147.. He wouldn't dominate anyone of the others, but he could find a way to win...

The thing is he did ask for 150 but Canelo refused flat out then team Mayweather asked for 152 then Canelo accepted to make the fight.

I thought Canelo was a bum and slow.. I also thought he was tailor made for Mayweather.. He gases out late in fights according to the stupid name you gave him, so why would someone duck him?

@ FrankHammer ^I didn't know that. But is it true Canelo's team said they'd fight Floyd at 150 lbs over a year ago? I'm pretty sure I read that.

So I guess FLoyd did request 150 lbs and Canelo's team reneged from their original proposal.

Anyway him weighing in at 152 lbs when his previous fight he came in at 153 lbs makes me think the outcome would've been no different. That extra pound or 2 isn't going to make Canelo some iron chinned, fast as lightning, super powerful fighter. I don't see the outcome being any different than a 10-2 whitewash.

Besides, canelo had the worst possible gameplan, he actually tried to outbox one of the greatest boxers in history. i was shocked to see how stupid Alvarez' gameplan was. It was almost as dumb as Bradley's was in his rematch with Pacman when he was looking for a 1 punch KO.

Im not sure but what im sure about is Floyd asked for the catch weight of 150 team Canelo refused then they accepted the 152 catch weight.

gasnelo is young and prolly still filling up.

    seen his last 3 fights?

    153, 152, 155.

the floyd fight, 154 was prolly right weight for him but pedjr drained him to a point he was just a statue.

if dela hoya who ave 60+ punches against pac in first 5 rounds was a zombie, what do you call drainelo?

yep, statue. at least a zombie walks even if so ever slowly.:good

Well let me ask you something, and please try to answer honestly as I know you're not a fan of Mayweather's. So I hope you answer my question as objectively as possible.

Do you think if Canelo was able to weigh in at 154 lbs that he would've fared better against FLoyd, especially with the gameplan he tried to enforce in their fight?

The ironic thing about all of this is Canelo looked more fatigue in the later rounds against Trout than he did with FLoyd. Alvarez was still swinging for the fences in the final rounds against Mayweather.

So because of those 2 lbs Mayweather won vs Canelo? Is that what you are saying?

154 drainelo would ko pedjr if he catches him. too much size. he would prolly 170 on fight night.

pedjr knows this thats why the c/w.

pedjr bloats them or drains them threats. or just outright cheat them in the scales, or his favorite, it makes no business sense:rofl
