If anyone will be in the area and wants to drop by, it will be a very exciting card, I'm sure.

Good luck man, 1st fights often come down to cardio. Are you matched already?

My very first match, someone gave me the best piece of advice. "Just go out there and have fun".

I know it sounds cliche and totally BS, but that's exactly what I did and and I won. I had no nervousness whatsoever, even when my opponent attempted "murder" in the first 30 seconds.

I battled with nervousness in subsequent fights. But that was very encouraging for my first fight.
I thought, "Yeah, I got no reason to be nervous. I get battered by more experienced boxers 30-40 pounds heaver than me on a regular basis, I had no reason to fear someone my own size". Especially a fellow novice.

Newbies sometimes fight very tense, and put everything into every punch. If you can stay calm and resist that urge, you will get the most out of your speed, movement and cardio.

Get tense and go to war and you might just blow your load too early.

So yeah, i'll agree with Jasper, most novice fights are decided by the better cardio.

Thanks. I will definitely remember to have fun. It will probably make me more relaxed.
