Hopkins is so slow that i'm not sure he would land a single punch on mayweather

 

Firstly Bhop can't make 160, secondly Floyd isn't fighting at 160, Lastly 50/50 is he having a laugh does the guy actually believe he would deserve an even split lol more like 90/10 split for Floyd. This is the equivalent of Klitschko telling us he wants to fight Bhop

 

Mayweather would win easy. Bhop would kill himself making weight and Floyd would just pot shot his corpse-like exterior all night. Boring ass 12-0/11-1 fight.

Imagine if the were negotiated and Floyd was interested in going to middleweight.. the negotiations would immediately fail due to the 50/50 split..

Reason why Hopkins/Jones 2 didn't happen in their primes.

Hopkins then beats Stevenson and retires as the GOAT.

 

Hopkins could easily make 160. He came in at the weigh in at 172, and only 6 pounds heavier on fight night. Due to Hopkins very advanced age, and his requirement to cut a lot of weight for this fight to get made, this could be a fairly even fight, despite Floyd being the much smaller man.

This fight would be bigger than Pac vs Mayweather if it were to get made.

 

Floyd would not fight him at any weight or give him anywhere near 50%!

 

Probably the most intriguing fight I would ever see. Hopkins would have FMJ in trouble if he could hit him, but that is a big if. I'm not sure how Hopkins would look at MW because it has been so long and he didn't look good in either Taylor fight.


Then again, we have never seen FMJ fight at MW. I don't think it's fair for all of these people to say it would easily go one way or the other.


Too early prediction, Hopkins by UD. This would be his last fight and you know he is very disciplined and wouldn't get caught up with the BS. He would train hard and not allow FMJ to pot shot him with his smothering tactics.

Nowhere in the article does Hopkins demand a 50/50 split.

He says he'll be 50, and it will be Floyd's 50th fight.

This is how dumbass rumors get started.
