I will give Pac a good chance to beat Floyd. The thing with Floyd, he is fighting slow unskilled fighters. We don't know the current level of Floyd as he is fighting slow unskilled fighters. The best indication of Floyd's current level is his last hard fight with Cotto. Floyd vs Cotto is closer compare to Pac vs Cotto. Pacman is more deadlier than the Cotto that Floyd faced.

SPEED BEATS POWER, it's about speed. Pacqiao wouldn't need to change strategy, just be smart and let his punnches fly.

I'm tired of so many people not giving Pacqiao a chance. Question, WHO has Mayweather fought in the last 10 years?

    Since 2005:

    1. De La Hoya. Past his prime and even though respectable hand speed, not as fast as Pacqiao. Still, it was Mayweather's FIRST SPLIT DECISION. Pacman DESTROYED De la Hoya
    2. Hatton. Relatively slow and a guy Pacqiao anniliated.
    3. Marquez. A counterpuncher with respectable speed but not as fast a Pacqiao. Also, Marquez is at his best counterpunching but against Floyd, he was forced to attack cause p#ssy Floyd just runs. Well, he was picked apart cause he had to attack. Marquez struggles with Pacman's speed but he loves how offensive Pacman is as he is an expert counterpuncher, thus why their fights are close.
    4. Mosely. Past his prime, should've been retired
    5. Ortiz. Who?
    6. Guerrero. Who?
    7. Cotto. Nowhere near as fast as Pacqiao and Cotto gave Floyd some probs whereas Pacqiao destroyed Cotto
    8. Canelo. Arguably the toughest opponent he has faced in past 10 years but relatively slow, nowwhere near as fast as Pacqiao

So notice how smart Floyd has been in selecting his opponents for the past 10 years, notably how he has cherry picked perfect opponents to make him look good. I'm not impressed by this list and these opponents are not even close to Pacqiao, especially when it comes to speed.

who has Pacquiao faced with Floyd's speed, defense, IQ, offense, inside game, outside game, reflexes, accuracy?

Floyd for Manny is more a rarity, then Manny is for Floyd.

Floyd has faced, and beat fast southpaws, beat brawlers, outboxed boxers.

Pac has faced one great BOXER in his career. And he's had trouble with him in their 4 fights.

well, i would argue Bradley is better than any fighter Maywather has faced in past 10 years. Bradley was #3 pound for pound and a very complete fighter.

Pac has faced Morales, Barrera, who were great fighters too. He has faced a lot of the same fighters Mayweather has - De la Hoya, Hatton, Mosely, Cotto and beat severakl of them in more devastating fashion than Mayweather did.

yes, Marquez has given Pacqiao trouble but styles make matchups and Marquez is at his best counterpunching so Pacqiao's relentless offense runs into Marquez's forte. Mayweather picked Marquez apart but why? cause he was a p$ssy and Marquez had to chase him and fight a style he's not comfortable with. Guess what, Bradley also dominated Marquez and guess who beat him this month?

Mayweather has been ducking Pacqiao for obvious reasons, he doesn't want to risk his fairy tale undefeated streak whilst making all this money. Mayweather has always picked slower fighters and unless a fighter can match him in speed, they have no chance.

Some might even say MAB and Morales were "pretty ok" too but I guess you forgot about them.

So Manny struggled with Marquez who is a counter puncher...hmmm... who is the best counter puncher in the game??? FMJ. Manny could possibly win but you have to admit it is unlikely.

why are these idiots including the op trying redefine how boxing classes are set. Morons

FMJ and Pac have extremely similar weigh ins and day of fight weights. In boxing terms they are basically the same size.

by the OP logic and Pacturd logic I can state with confidence that Pac is the bigger man because his calves dwarf FMJ's calves significantly. Now see how stupid that sounds. that is what this comparison sounds like also.

    so fugg off

How could Pacquiao beat mayweather if floyd is avoiding Manny at all cost?

Mayweather struggled with Castillo/DLH/Cotto who fought very active and high intensity pressure fights…hmmm… who's is the best pressure fighter in the game?

Mayweather has traits of Marquez, who is Manny's toughest match up. Pacquiao has traits of Castillo/DLH/Cotto who have been Floyd's toughest match ups.

A few points on the Marquez/Mayweather comparison: They're actually quite different breeds of boxer, even if we'd give them both the same label. Marquez is more of a come-to-me counterpuncher. He throws more punches, throws combination counters and in general handles pressure and activity a lot better. Mayweather like to fight with distance. He's quicker with longer arms and likes to pot shot from his safe zone. When Mayweather has decisively lost rounds (i.e. I'm think in the Castillo/Cotto fights, maybe even Hatton to a lesser extent) it's because of the high activity and punch output of his opponent. He doesn't manage this as well as Marquez does.

ah yes but there's a difference. You see, Marquez is a counterpuncher WITH POWER. Marquez has a 73% KO whilst Mayweather has 58% KO, BIG DIFFERENCE.

Against Marquez, Pacman is wary of Marquez's punching power but against Mayweather, i think Pacqiao would charge with less fear and be willing to trade punches. If they trade punches with both of them being equally fast (Marquez thinks PACMAN is faster) then it gets interesting.

So even though Mayweather is better than Marquez, i think Marquez is more dangerous for Pacqiao. he has 40 KOs!

This thread does sound a little like an excuse if Pacquiao loses
