Was anybody listening when Hopkins spit those post fight words of wisdom out for all the young fighters.? "Look at the artwork, boxing is a science. If you don't have to get hit, don't. You don't want nobody else counting your money." Those are words of wisdom and they are straight from the book of Mayweather. The masters edition. Having said that, I must add, that sometimes you just gotta get in a bustas ass cause that might be the only way and but you gotta be a master of that as well.
Yep. That's the sweet science that I know so well. Hit and don't be hit. Even then BHOP is trying to compromise and give a little to entertain the fans. Then came round 11 and Whoop, there it is! Knock down and Shumenov was every bit as hurt as Froch was by Grove. BHOP a living legend.
Actually, overall, if you add it all up I'm sure those who take more chances have made far money than defensive guru's throughout the history of the sport. Taking chances is the fastest way to notoriety and therefore large paychecks, the only catch is making a big name for yourself before getting your first loss. Defensive guys seldom build their own name, they usually gotta beat a guy with a name, and that does not always come around for them. Floyd had DLH, and Hatton, Hopkins had Tito etc.
Big difference in Hopkins & Mayfeather Hopkins LOOKS for the feared oppnents. Mayfeather hides from them. Can you imagine Bernard saying " I'm not going to fight Stevenson I'm not in it for the $$$ or fame My health comes first." :rofl:rofl Thats what pansy Floyd said about fighting Paquaio. Yet STILL !!! some of you sheep support himatsch
You missing the point, every time a fighter steps into the ring he's taking a chance. Its about breaking that chance of something going wrong down to its lowest level. This is not about defense or offense but about completely understanding your opponent and being able to adjust your fight game to effect a proper breakdown of him with the lowest risk of harm to yourself. That's the science. The art is scripting your moves to blend with your science. What he meant by somebody counting your money is that if you are careless and somebody knocks you out of the box then they will go on to make the money you could have made if you had won.:bbb
Normally I would take the time to clarify and break my points down but you are stuck on stupid and it would be a waste of my time.
deal:deal actually it goes like this: "...it's the hypocrisy of Floyd's fans that's funny..." - Doug Fischer (RING TV) :yep
I hear you. B-Hop set the hook at the press conference and reeled his ass in come fight time. He put the slow kill on his ass and it wasn't nothing nice. He got a standing ovation by thousands for his master class. B Hop don't play.
Truer words have not been spoken Don't compare B-Hop and Floyd. B-Hop has been going after the best competition while Floyd is stays ducking and even fakes retirements
Yall can quit swinging on B Hop nuts cause he done already broke it down on national TV. Here's another thing, Yall got ya panties all in a bunch cause Floyd hasn't beat Pac's ass yet. Not to worry, He's gonna do that for you but not on your time but his time. He's the king and he can do that. Pac's ass will not go unchecked before he leaves.
I personally love all styles. I love B-hop, Mayweather, and Rigo, but I also love a great scrap, with both guys going toe to toe. Diversity is great for the sport.
Seriously dude: We get it already. Real sad thing is that all these fighters you drool over would not take the time to **** in your mouth if you were dying of thirst. Or perhaps you would merely fein dying of thirst in hopes that they would actually do that.
Yeah I don't get some people's obsession with safety first fighters. I don't like many of them but I'm glad they are there because they ensure a deep strategy to the sport or else we'd end up with a street fight with boxing gloves on. It's just that many people got it backwards and act as if the safety first guys are what make the sport go round, when actually, if everyone in the sport were like them the sport would be dead by now. People want a combination of excitement combined with strategy but, excitement unquestionably comes first.
