If Floyd were to beat Porter, he'd get plenty of credit. Fighting top rated champions is what a guy like Floyd should be doing if it's available. Who would be a more credible challenger at WW besides Pacquiao?

He can't hit that hard if Julio Diaz went the distance with him twice, a career lightweight thats been stopped 5 times

A lot of credit from who? If Mayweather beat Porter now it would be downgraded to just a victory over "Pac's ex sparring partner".

And then we'll hear what did Porter ever do besides beat a washed up Paulie Malignaggi?

Bradley just lost to Pacquiao again. He needs to get a legit win over someone who's under 40 first.

It will only be downdgraded by people who don't like Floyd anyway. They'll downgrade any win he has. Most objective observers would give him credit for beating Porter.

Is Porter really any better than Maidana? What did Porter do that Maidana can't? Maidana is an even bigger puncher

Yes, Porter is better than Maidana. I don't have a problem with the Maidana fight. However, Maidana is a pressure fighter who lacks footspeed. He's going to face a lot of hurdles trying to pressure Mayweather. Porter is a stronger fighter with better footspeed. It would be a very interesting fight.

That doesn't mean anything. Porter just beat Malignaggi, people need to calm down with the hype. Bradley would box Porter to a clear UD

keith one time thurman ever heard of him. he was also fighting at 154 and came to 147. im all for the winner of thurman vs porter vs floyd. but porter is undeserving it not about how you feel about porter its about what he has done in boxing . smashing paulie aint enough for me sorry. beating paulie will never be enough for me. you think floyd saying he beat paulie i have to fight this guy, hell no. good win and thats about it.

but if they can make it happen and make money go ahead. but porter gone have to face thurman one day. i just want the best ww to fight floyd and the best ww is not porter.
