Hopkins would be lucky to take 20% of the split.

Here we go again..Bernard building his legacy up fighting lower weight superstars. Why not Challenge the Klitchkos for the ultimate legacy?

Floyd would have many other options than to fight the LHW Champion of the World. He has Pacquiao at welterweight, he has the winner of Khan-Collazo, he has Martinez at 154-160. Floyd doesn't need Hopkins and in case that happens, I'm afraid Bernard is outscored by a large margin cause he doesn't have the legs or the handspeed.

Hopkins would be 50 years old moving down a 2-3 of weight divisions.
    Why?
For the mega-fight purse to help him into retirement and the history as well.
When else have you seen this?
    Never.
It is or would be historic.

    Why not Klitscho?
Who is Klitscho? That fight wouldn't pay BHOP as much as fighting Ward, and health wise, it is a bad idea to balloon up to 220+ lbs aat his age.
Plus the Klit would still have his #1 advantage, height/weight.

    Did You read the article...???

    CLEARLY IT SAYS:

I set out to be the best in the light-heavyweight division. I'm thirsty for that like I was at middleweight."
But when pondering what could be the final act of a career that began in 1988, Hopkins made it clear he hopes welterweight star Mayweather would answer his challenge to jump up in weight while he drops and they meet at middleweight.

    Here's Hopkin's words:

"I'll give anybody a run for their money. If they are unbeaten I will take their 0, give them their first loss," Hopkins said. "I could make 165, 168 (pounds) real comfortably."

For all I know the author made a mistake. Because 165, 168 is not middleweight.

No, its going to be like this..

    BHop: Floyd hit me First,
Floyd: No I am the counter puncher so try to hit me first and see whats up..

the keep at this for like 4 rounds and then BHop Tries to Catch Floyd, but floyd is quicker on his toes and would be landing on BHop which will not hurt him but floyd would be outpointing him, you repeat that for the entire 12 rounds, then we go to the score cards, two judges sees it for floyd and one for BHop.. :yep

just because Floyd is Quick on his Toes, at least quicker than Old BHop which on my eyes is just like floyd but biger, slower and Older..

umm No, Canelo was about 2 or 1.5 Lbs lower than his last fight, BHop would be coming about 12 pounds lighter than his last fight, which was 172, I think BHop can make 168 without issues, now 160 thats a different story.:bbb

Maybe the fight could happen if Floyd moves up to MW and beats the winner of Martinez-Cotto.

With a win over Hopkins, nobody would be able to deny Floyd's greatness.
