...Where could you feasibly rate him all-time?

I dare say top ten if this was to occur in his fiftieth year.

I gave him around top 35 right now but if he cleans out 175 at 50 probably top 15 to 20. Although a good case could be made to be ranked even higher.

When talking about ATG's and resumes, you don't really get more credit for a win just because you are past your prime. The state of your opponents' career affects what a performance over them means, but the aged or declining state of your own career doesn't make wins magically better.

Kovalev and Stevenson are great at the moment and wins over them are mighty impressive. But lets face it. If both retired today, Kovalev would be known for great power, ending a mans' life in the ring, and beating Cleverly for a paper title in the UK while Stevenson would be known for great power and for one punch TKO'ing Chad Dawson for the lineal title. Not much more beyond that for either of them at all. Hardly anything truly amazing in the history of the sport. Lets not get carried away in the moment.

If Hopkins becomes Undisputed WBC+WBA+WBO+IBF I put him Above Mayweather/Pacman

Very long shot though, cause all odds are against him

What about that post was being a "hater?"

I probably rank Hopkins higher than you do on an ATG list... sooooooo, yeah.

Wow let's not get carried away here. 10-15 is way too high for a guy who dropped 2 decisions to Jermaine Taylor.

Losses count in ATG rankings as well kids :deal

So does a guy who lost to Leon Spinks.

Anyhow, I think if Hopkins beat these two it wouldn't matter. People would just say they were tailor made for Hopkins.

    longevity counts
    accomplishment counts
    title defenses counts
    quality of opponsition counts

he has the longest reign at middleweight in history

    wins over hof'ers
    trinidad
    dlh
    roy jones
    tarver

first and only guy in history to unify wbc, wba, ibf, wbo and ring titles.

jumped 2 weight classes to light heavyweight and won titles there....

49yrs old and just unified two of the belts at light heavy.

his resume reads like a who's who over the last 3 decades.

if he goes on to beat stevenson and kovalev to unify at 175 he will have placed himself above floyd as this eras best fighter.

If you have Hopkins top 35, you must have Calzaghe top 15:yep
