IF he were to somehow manage that, it would be one of the most incredible accomplishments the sport has seen. No exaggeration.

I think he's already in the top 20. A couple of big wins in the next 12 months or so and he's in the top 10 for me.

If someone close to 50 unifies the LHW division what does that say about the division?

I think Hopkins though if he wins he erases all his bad performances .. It would be incredible .

No, it wouldn't mean or even be associated with any of them. Of the three fighters listed, only one actually had Hopkins's number and that was Dawson. Styles make fights and any fighter can have a bad day or fight.

What it will do is make even seasoned boxing fan's heads hurt as they rethink how to position BHOP in the current p4p and ATG landscape that appropriately reflects the achievements. :yep

    What an odd observation.

I rarely ever talk about Kovalev.

When I have, it is high praise for his stoppage over Campillo, his P4P power, etc.

I rank him behind Stevenson and Hopkins at LHW, but I feel that if they fought, he'd defeat both of them.

Ya know, to put it all in perspective...

Hopkins wasn't on but maybe 3% of the populations' top 10 P4P list before this Saturday.

So, despite his amazing historic achievements in distant years of the past, his amazing historic accomplishments of the present and very recent past are still not enough for most people to fancy his resume and skills as one of the 10 best in the world. Cloud, Murat, and Shumenov aren't highly thought of, I suppose.

It's about the same level of opponents as Kovalev's as of recently (Campillo, Cleverley, Sillakh, Agnew), maybe slightly worse, by opponents I'd rate it:

    Cleverley
    Campillo
    Cloud
    Shumenov
    Murat
    Sillakh/Agnew
