If you'd be pro what your training program would look like? What you think this kind of training program?

    Typical training day:
6:00 AM Run 5 miles, 10 minutes of shadowboxing
9:30 10 minutes skipping, 8 rounds heavybag, 2 rounds speedbag
16:00 2 rounds shadowboxing, 6 rounds sparring, 2 rounds mitt work
    19:00 1500 sit-ups, 500 push-ups, 200 dumbell shrugs, 200 medicine ball throws, 50 box jumps
21:00 30 minutes of full body stretching

I would train Rocky Marciano style and preparing to throw one hundred power shots or more a round in order to decapitate my opponent or cave in his ribs.

I would up my miles, and heavy bag rds to 15 and 15 rds of sparring.

Old school training seems to work best. 5000 sit-ups, 15 rounds of heavy bag, 10 miles running. Do them everyday and you do fine.

It's ****ing mad isn't it the myth of old school training. Yet all the top fighters now have strength and conditioning coaches and use weights. But weights are apparently verboten despite Hopkins, Mayweather, Pac, Wlad and countless other elite boxers using them.

    Weightlifting slows you down.

If by slowing you down you mean 'makes stronger, faster and more explosive' then sure weights slow you down. There's a reason why weightlifters have exceptional speed and vertical jump ability despite not training specifically for that. There's a reason why sprinters, basketball players, NFL players, baseball players etc. perform weightlifting in their training.
Don't be a ******, and please don't share the dumb around.

Weightlifting slows you down just like throwing arm punches at a heavy bag makes you better puncher.

You got to do it right.

Weightlifting doesn't slow you down but putting on a crap load of muscle definitely gives your body problems in the long run and in longer fights. Putting muscles does you no good in boxing, there are other ways to win a fight.

So does a serious question by the look of it.

Can't you find a single example to support your earlier post:

Do that everyday and your body would be falling apart in about a week
