This is the only good post in the thread.

Everyone is bickering about individual happenings that could be potential reasons that have no bearing at all.

As far as what this thread is about, my quoted post is the only realistic interpretation of the issue being brought up.

I'm sure Arum treating his fighters likes crap from decades, including two of the most influential people at Golden Boy had nothing to do with it right? Golden Boy may never have been set up had De La Hoya/Hopkins and Arum not split. I also doubt that relations would be so frosty if Mayweather wasn't adament that Arum hadn't paid him his due.

Nonito's a good poster, but purephase has done a good job of countering the majority of the OP's initial assertions. That shouldn't have been discounted.

Meanwhile, at Top Rank, you get to see a bunch of rematches, and NAME fighters fighting UNKNOWNS...

I understand you're impatient, just like every other boxing fan in the world, but all the names fighters are at Golden Boy. The fights may all not have happened one right after the other, which is of course what you expected to happen for some reason as if that's ever been the case, but they at least CAN happen.

Golden Boy is about to give you Alvarez vs Lara... What's the equivalent to that at Top Rank?

Really? So what's your view on the Pacquiao vs Rios bout that took place? Was that a "good fight?"

If Alvarado beats JMM, you really think Pacquiao vs Alvarado is a "good fight?"

What's your view on the 154 pound title Pacquiao fought Margarito for at 150 pounds? Since you're "against corruption" don't you think it is "corrupt" for Bob Arum to pay an organization money to rank his fighter who has never won **** at 154 pounds? What exactly earned Margarito a spot in the top 10 at 154? A win over Golden Johnson?

It was, as was Ortiz Peterson.....it's true, Ortiz was once upon a time a hard as nails, balls to the wall fighter.....

And Berto, so long as his TIE levels hung about the 5.9-1 range was also a huge draw.
But Vada destroyed Berto, followed by USADA, in that USADA only tests for TIE levels above 6-1, and then USADA did not catch Guerrero, a LW moving to WW, and looking like a beast in comparison to Berto on fight night.

Surely Guerrero was under the care of a D Hale Jr contemporary, and had his TIE levels just under detectable levels using USADA.

I think Berto could actually come back so long as he refuses VADA testing. Under USADA testing, he could rebuild with levels of 5.9-1 like Roid Mayflower Jr.....and become a force once again in the division.:hey

I don't think Guerrero is hip to fighting no more. He made his millions and he's content to live a comfortable life with his beautiful family.:think
