What did Tim Bradley prove at welterweight before Manny fought him? Or do u not recall Tim was at 140 and moved up? But of course Floyd's wins against opponents who move up don't count right?

135 why? He would have lost had it been at 130 or 126. Raheem was too slick for him and he couldn't deal with him.

Nothing wrong with the best facing the best multiple times - much better than fighting a bunch of journeymen instead like most fighters do.

you honestly believe the Guerrero bout was PPV worthy? I don't care if it was Floyd, that fight with Mares-De Leon and Rosado-Love on the UC, was not a PPV fight by any means

That wasn't my question. Floyd is way way way too good for his own competition and I don't even think Pac has a chance of beating him and I'm a *******. What boggles me was how he was able to fool a lot of people to buy his fights when not only he is boring to watch but his opponents has zero chance of winning. Normally people pay for the intrigue or the excitement. Both doesn't apply to Floyd yet he still sell millions of buys. Amazing.

Boxing is a business. Whether or not a fight is on PPV is all dependant on economics. Mayweather has a contract that pays him at least $32M a fight. It would not be economically feasible to pay Mayweather that sort of money and put the fight on regular showtime. They only way to pay him that sort of money is put the fight on PPV; a vehicle that will produce the neccesary amount of money.

This is a boxing forum. People talk boxing. Floyd is the premier ATG in this era, we just want him to do what premier ATG's do, fight the best.
You fall right into his trap if you actually BUY his fights and buy into what he was saying.

He's the best in the sport, he knows how to create and sell an event, he has never lost, been stopped, or even knocked down (officially) in nearly 50 fights, he's aligned himself with other successful enterprises, and he's past his prime yet still physically gifted, etc. He doesn't take the need for hard work lightly. This is probably his biggest secret to success. With the cameras rolling he sells a lifestyle of leisure, parties, flash, and fine women. At the same time, he toils like a son of a *****.

People pay to see a boxing enigma and prodigy at work, whether to see him win or lose.

Boxing (casual) fans are fickle. There has to be an attachment to a fighter, whether it is love or hate, to spend money to see him over and over. Floyd has managed to evoke both emotions in people and gracefully walk the line between them.

Maybe you don't understand the consumer. It's impossible to "fool" people several times in that manner. People like watching Mayweather fights. Maybe you don't appreciate his fights, which is perfectly ok, but many others do. Furthermore, his fights have become events. Come fight night, everyone gets together for a party and they have a good time.

    :deal

Sorry, you don't fool people over and over again to the tune of $70. Obviously people enjoy watching him fight.

Who is "the best"? That seems like a pretty vague term that can easily be manipulated to serve a particluar purpose. Was Alvarez not the top rated fighter in his division? Was Guerrero not one of the highest rated fighters in his division when Floyd fought him? You can trash any fighter you want, but there is no singular way to define the best that will have everyone in agreement.

You fool! Hatton turned down PBF back in 2005 when both were at 140 saying he wasn't ready but yeah like a typical hater blame PBF for the fight not happening at 140 even though it was Hatton who's the blame.:nut With that said Hatton won a belt at WW and also said weight wasn't an issue saying he would weigh more than PBF on fight night anyway. So if Hatton offered no excuses why should you?

JMM wouldn't beat PBF at any weight so just stop. He doesn't even mention PBF as a rematch yet he's willing to fight Pac 4 or 5 times.
