Anyone who scored the fight with competence knows Calzahge deserved a clean UD. 116-111 a fine card.

In fact Clazaghe's win over Hopkins is looking better every year. That must be hard for the haters to accept :)

Now please explain why Hopkins is ducking Kovalev.

Really get your eyes checked there was nothing Unanimous about what Joe did ..I give him credit for doing more but it was hardly a destruction!

And Hopkins is about to fight the man in the division !

Hopkins could be 100.... if he plans on sticking around he needs to face the best available while he is in possession of a title. All of his apologists need to realize that because Hopkins is an old man it doesn't mean he should get a pass on defending his titles against subpar competition while blatantly ducking fights with Kovalev and Stevenson.....

I said, "Kovalev would DESTROY Hopkins beating him worse than Calzaghe did, and Bernard knows it. "

So Kovalev would earn better than a SD. In fact he would knock Hopkins out.

You could make a strong case that Hopkins last opponent could should have lost to Campillo a guy Kovalev destroyed in 3 rounds

For someone so irrelevant, Kovalev just pulled 30% more audience than Hopkins in their most recent fights.

    Explain that away, Gloids!

This will be a good fight!

I can't wait to hear the PR of the date and details.

It will be a great sports day for Quebec and Canada to have the world's two best LHWs fight there for title unification. :happy

According to Bballchump11 he was one of only four fighters to have over 1 million viewers on Showtime, along with Broner, Cotto and Canelo.

His final vs Trinidad in that MW tournament was also huge.

Fight who exactly.. I've gotta admit to being in awe of the SHO / Haymon/ GBP takeover at LHW (a division they considered 'lacking in interest' merely 6 months ago), but one way or another in this masterful business coup, Kovalev has gotten a little screwed over. If my favourite paper was the FT or the WSJ then hell yeah, but it ain't, and what I'm seeing is a top boxer in a division that he helped regenerate interest in being marginalised.

Hell. the only positive for Kovalev is that he may simply be able to outwait BHop and Stevenson if they won't fight him. I don't think it'll sit well with him though.
