    1. how long do you think he would've last as champion (assuming he doesn't face Tyson again for arguments sake) just looking at how was around there and rated that would've beaten him

    2. If he did beat Tyson... where would you then rank spinks in your ATG HW rankings... Top 15... Top 25 Top .....?

If Joe Grim had somehow knocked out Jack Johnson, how long would he have held the title for?

If your uncle was Jesus, and your father was Moses, and they both got stoned , and claimed their father was a guy called god, would you be STUPID enough to believe it?

Spinks knee was shot to ****. I picked him over Tyson at the time ;). With hindsight if he had beaten Tyson I would of fallen to my knees, admitted all my sins, and prayed for forgiveness to the second coming: Michael 'Call me Jesus' Spinks...

I honestly picked Spinks to win this fight:lol:, because Tyson was going thru so much BS, outside the ring, and he was drinking a lot, not training like he should have been, etc..

Its a valid question and one that's been asked before. Forgetting the obvious reality for a moment that Spinks was never going to beat Tyson and moving forward with a hypothetical scenario, I think a demand for a rematch would have been extremely high. The purse for such a fight would have been too much for Spinks to pass bye, and he'd likely lose the second time around.. Had he fought someone in between, its doubtful that it'd be against a top contender, but probably someone who closely resembled another Steffen Tangstad or Peter McNeeley type opponent. stretching things further, if Spinks had beaten Tyson twice, retirement would have been almost certain, though a proposed rubber match with Holmes or a comeback Foreman might have been proposed.

Most of his fights were lhw.Two wins on Holmes and one over Tyson places him at top 60.

He retires, or he takes a year off and then fights Holyfield.

Retirement is the more likely scenario, but if he hangs around, a Tyson rematch or maybe a novelty fight like a third meeting with Holmes or a fight with Foreman is more probable.. Spinks was no longer in championship mode mentally by that point, so taking on rising young contenders ( and probably for less money ) wasn't going to be in the works.

    1) A year tops, if Tyson doesn't get him in a rematch, or he doesn't retire, Williams, or Foreman gets him.
    2) top 15.
